Clark-Claudon Vineyards

Clark-Claudon Vineyards Clark~Claudon Vineyards is the result of a dream, a risk and a lot of hard work. The family is that old fashioned variety that spends time together working and playing. We have a family business that reflects both a determination to reach for excellence and the ability to laugh and have a good time while doing it. The family includes Tom & Laurie, their children Josh and Briana & Briana's husband Brian Forgie. Our parents, Paul & June Claudon & Vance & Jean Clark have been a source of wonderful support since the inception of our business. Paul & Vance were actively involved until their sad passing in 2001 & 2002 respectively. We know they remain with us in spirit. As each season in the vineyard teaches us, the life cycle continues. On March 29, 2003 a new addition was added to the family with the birth of Brandon Paul-David Forgie. He will begin "working" in the vineyard and winery this Spring of 2003.

  Cabernet Sauvignon
2002 was a year that gave wine growers dedicated to the pursuit of perfection an opportunity to shine. Again, it was a year when having an Estate Vineyard made the difference between outstanding and world class. At Clark-Claudon we nurtured the vineyard from vine to vine, decided which grape bunches would make the cut and then harvested them as each had individually reached full maturity. The 2002 harvest was the embodiment of all that Clark~Claudon Vineyards has grown to represent; family, hard work, a consistency of excellence & celebration. The resulting 2002 Vintage is arguably our best vintage to date!
  Cabernet Sauvignon
Our 2001 Estate wine is what you would expect from an exceptional vineyard in an exceptional season. Its dense purple color enticingly invites you to enjoy its incredible aromas of lusciously ripe black berries, dark cherries, and plums. The full bodied seduction continues with layer after layer of red and black fruit, delicate flowers, spicy cedar, minerals, cassis, hints of mint and warm roasted chocolate. This very complex, sexy wine with beautiful structure and balance is the perfect marriage between elegance and pizzazz. Today or in ten plus years, its long tantalizing finish will confirm that you have been kissed by Bacchus.
  Cabernet Sauvignon Eternity
2002 Clark- Claudon; Eternity Our Howell Mountain Vineyard gave its all in 2002, as if it knew that this was its last season. The fruit reached perfect maturity yielding a small crop of dark, flavor packed grapes full of beautiful aromas and intensity. You won’t want to miss the last hurrah expressed in this very special wine. Extremely rare, the 2002 Eternity will only be offered to our Direct Mail customers.
  Wild Iris Sauvignon Blanc
Heralding the onset of Spring, Wild Iris peek outfrom the dark moist earth in the woods surrounding our vineyard. With them come feelings of whimsy, playfulness and new beginnings; hence, the perfect name sake for our inaugural Sauvignon Blanc. Wild Iris will enhance our winemaker dinners and be will be shared with our Flights Members. Wild Iris is a blend of Clone 1 and the Musque Clone giving the wine both amazing aromatics and texture. It sees no oak, being fermented exclusively in stainless steel. The fruit for this beautiful wine was sourced by Joshua Clark from two Napa Valley vineyards under his management.
