Flint Hill Vineyards

Flint Hill Vineyards Flint Hill Vineyards is located on land that has been in the family for over one hundred years, earning the Century Family Farm designation from the United States Department of Agriculture. Having both grown up on farms, although not vineyards, Tim and I realize all the hard work that is involved. But we also realized the valuable lessons we learned by growing up as a family on a farm. After having our first child, we decided that we would love for our children to experience the same family living as we did and so we planted a vineyard. In April, 2002, we planted approximately 5 acres of grapes. Flint Hill Vineyards is currently growing five viniferous varieties of grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Voignier, Chardonnay and Chambourcin. We planted our grapes with the intent of producing high quality grapes to be a part of some award winning wines and after winning awards for our vineyard and grape growing practices, we decided to bottle our wine and open a tasting room. Flint Hill Vineyards will open in October of 2005 with 4 wines, 3 varietals; Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Voignier, as well as a semi sweet white wine. Future wines will include Chardonnay and Chambourcin or a Chambourcin blend. Please come experience our history, tour our vineyard or relax with a bottle of our wine.

Products

  Cabernet Sauvignon
Our Cabernet Sauvignon characteristics lend to dark cherry, black currant and a hint of tobacco. Aged solely on french oak. This wine could be shared with a variety of your favorite red meats or other hearty dishes. We achieved remarkable color with this harvest, so enjoy a glass now, or cellar for perfect maturity.
  Chambourcin
Try our spicy Chambourcin. Chambourcin is a French / American Hybrid that produces a beautiful deep red, medium-bodies wine with a wonderfull finish. Great with anything from steak to cookies.
  Crushed Velvet
Another new wine for Flint Hill Vineyards for the vintage. Made primarily from our Chambourcin grape. This wine has a beautiful rich velvet color yet is pleasantly sweet. A great patio wine or serve with your favorite chocolate dessert.
  Olde Yattken
A wonderfully crisp and light dessert wine. Made from a blend of our Viognier and Chardonnay grapes, thus giving the wine a light fruitiness. A very refreshing wine served cold to end the evening.
  Synergy
A combination of our Viognier and Syrah grapes produced a lighter bodied red wine. Synergy is made up of 80% Syrah grapes to give it color and 20% Viognier to add fruitiness to the wine. Enjoy this wine with lunch, or a light pasta dish.
  Syrah
Pour a glass of our Syrah and note the dark cherry color with flavors of blackberry, cocoa and defined black pepper. Aged over 10 months on french oak. This wine compliments your favorite steak and even a good Southern Bar-B-Q.
  Viognier
Picked at the height of ripeness. Our Viognier is aged in stainless steel and has the perfect mix of fruit and floral notes. The wine sets itself apart with juicy peach and apricot flavors. Try this wine chilled with your favorite light dish or on your back deck at evening sunset.
