Having produced award winning wine as amateurs, Bill and Patti Skvarla made the decision in 2001 to diversify the production on their farm to include a block of Cabernet wine grapes. In the spring of that year, 1200 Kendall Jackson Cabernet vines were carefully planted and Harmony Hill Vineyards was born. Harmony Hill Vineyards is situated 30 miles east of Cincinnati and just miles north of the Ohio River Valley in the great state of Ohio.

Concerto
Our Concerto is 100% Vidal Blanc. Most Ohio wine makers ferment this grape either very sweet (Ice Wine) or very dry. Too sweet can mask the unique taste of Vidal, while too dry produces a wine that is 'grassy' (herbaceous). Neither pleases me. We ferment our Concerto off-dry at 1.8% residual sugar, producing a Germanic (Riesling) style white wine with an uncharacteristic Peach/Apple/Pear forward and a hint of butter on the finish. This is a great summer wine, as it is both refreshing and smooth

Dawn Song Peach Dessert Wine
2005 was an excellent year for the peach trees here at Harmony Hill. This summer's crop produced an intensely flavored, but smooth finishing peach dessert wine with 17% alcohol and 6% residual sugar. Perfect for those cold winter nights in front of the fire.

Ovation
Light, refreshing and spicy, this semi sweet white blend of Traminette and Cayuga is the perfect Summer Sipper. Tropical hints of pineapple, kiwi and banana coupled with a crisp finish make this wine an easy drinker.

Prelude Christmas Blush
Imagine bubble gum with a hint of cinnamon. This first attempt at a commercial Blush Wine is better than we ever expected. With 12% alcohol and 2% residual sugar, this Traminette/Cayuga/Cabernet blend is the perfect wine to enjoy with a late night movie or a refreshing complement to your Christmas ham.

Rhapsody
Full bodied Bordeaux Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The jammy plum forward is exceeded only by the bold, yet smooth finish.

Serenade
Our Serenade is a dry red blend of two French American Hybrid grapes, Chambourcin and Marechal Foch. I can pretty much guarantee that it's like nothing you've tasted before. Six months in Appalachian (Ohio) Oak Barrels produced a red wine with an intense black cherry/tobacco forward and the smoothest oak finish that I've ever experienced. If you've already matured into a dry red wine drinker, this may have too much of a cherry fruit forward for you. Serenade is a great wine for those transitioning from the off-dry or semisweet wines to the more robust dry reds.

Sonata
Our Sonata is a blend of Seyval Blanc, Vidal Blanc and Traminette. It is a dry white table wine with a tropical (pineapple/kiwi) forward and a buttery finish. This is the wine for those who enjoy a high acid white, as it excites the back pallet on the finish.
