Redstone Meadery

Redstone Meadery Boulder, Colorado's Redstone Meadery is a winery that manufactures honey wine. Visitors to the tasting room enjoy free samples of mead. As well, the Meadery offers a free 1/2 hour tour Monday - Friday at 3pm and on Saturdays at 12:30. Mead is human's first fermented beverage and is where the word honey moon comes from.   Black Raspberry Reserve
1st Place winner for commercial meads at the 2003 Mazer Cup. At this competition the Reserve received 46 out of 50 points which is the highest score ever awarded by the Mazer Cup judges! This 2001 Reserve, our first in the Redstone Reserve Series, has created quite a stir.
  Boysenberry Mountain Honey Wine
Sweetness: Medium
  Burgundy Mountain Honey Wine
3 parts Alfalfa Honey/1 part Blackberry Honey Blackberry honey comes through in the nose with hints of currant. Our smooth full body mead with the use of red grapes. Increased depth with the addition of oak. Great with red meat!
  Juniper Mountain Honey Wine
2 parts Orange Blossom/1 part Dessert Blossom A dry, subtle finish of juniper berry and woody complexity. One of the Meadery staff’s top picks.
  Pinot Pyment
We ferment Pinot Noir grapes along with honey to create a pyment style mead: the pecursor to grape wine. A mix of toasted French and American oak cubes adss some subtle smokiness.
  Plum Mountain Honey Wine
An example of how plums and honey work well together. For those with a sweet tooth, try our sweetest Mountain Honey Wine on the market.
  Traditional Mountain Honey Wine
Awards Include: GOLD medal winner of the Traditional Meads at the 2003 International Mead Festival (www.meadfest.com)! Mostly orange blossom honey this mead is medium in sweetness and slightly acidic and warming.
  White Pyment - Honey Wine with Grape Wine
A delightful marriage of honey and white grapes. Slightly acidic, light hints of pear, comparable to a fruity chardonnay.
