Chandler Reach Vineyards

Chandler Reach Vineyards is an estate winery located along the Yakima River overlooking Red Mountain in Benton City. Graced with excellent "terroir" our vineyard produces superior fruit. Growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah and Sangiovese, our winery is focused on Italian style wines from Tuscan origins. Each vintage provides a minumum of 2000 cases of handcrafted wines which compete with the world class wines currently produced in Washington State. Chandler Reach Vineyard has constructed a wine cave to store wine barrels in a controlled environment of 56 degrees and humidity of 85%. This wine cave is open to the public. The Tuscan villa, which will house the main tasting room and special events room, will be constructed in 2004 to open the following year.

Estate Parris Reserve Cabernet Franc
Richly focused yet graceful, this Estate Reserve edition is a vineyard classic. Every vintage of this varietal has improved. Well like by all, this elusive wine possesses aromas of blackberries and plum. Firm structure and alluring color, this Reserve Cab Franc exhibits a long rich finish with well balanced tannins. This vintage is our first Cab Franc Estate Reserve and we intend to carry on the tradition.

Estate Parris Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
This Cabernet Sauvignon wine shows the rich and polished harmony of fruit consistent with the very best of Chandler Reach Vineyards. Produced in small lots this handcrafted wine exudes complex cherry and ripe blackberry flavors combined with ultra smooth tannins. Graced with an elegant and lingering finish, the sense of “place” remains a continual reminder on the palate.

Estate Parris Reserve: Sangiovese
Warm, lingering summers and cool nights come together to produce great Tuscan style wines. Our Estate Reserve one hundred percent Sangiovese exemplifies this combination. Alluring in its complexity, this full bodied wine caresses you in its finish. The silky tannins are combined throughout with hints of raspberries and rose petals. Nicely balanced, this Italian style beauty shows best under candlelight.

Estate Reserve - Red

Merlot
100% Merlot from CRV makes up this first production of this varietal. Smooth, round, and nicely structured, this addition to the CRV family should prove to be a winner. Once again the “cherry undertones” caress the finish, which seems to be apparent in most of the Chandler Reach wines. This is a sound wine and will continue to get better with age, we are “very” pleased to offer this quality at this price.

Monte Regalo
Unlike the blend of 2000, this vintage of Monte Regalo features Chandler Reach’s smooth Merlot. Roundness in the mouth feel and subtle in the finish this blend consists of 54% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Cab Franc. The vineyard “terroir” produces nice cherry undertones and dark current flavors that wash over your pallet in the finish. This wine should hold nicely from 4-6 years.

Monte Regalo
Ruby red in color, this red blend possesses classic Washington State red meritage attributes. The fruit aromas and flavors are of ripe black sweet cherries and mountain blackberries. The wine’s presentation is completed with generous vanilla and toasted graham notes compliments of the French and American oak barrels. This wine is quite lush and supple. The structure is seamless, the body is medium to medium plus. Though it is drinking very well now, I estimate this wine to possess a solid five to eight years of cellar potential.
