Eden Ciders

Eden Ciders Our mission is to support small local orchards who grow special apple varieties using environmentally sustainable practices. Together we grow a fascinating array of varieties to use in our ciders – old New England heirlooms like Blue Pearmain and Roxbury Russet, iconic sweets and sharps like Hudson’s Gem and Esopus Spitzenburg, zingy crabapples like Dolgo, Kerr and Wickson, and historic tannic varieties, including bittersweet and bittersharp varieties that originated in France and England. We press once per year after harvest, using the natural winter cold at our farm to concentrate the flavors and sugars of the apples before fermentation. We don’t use sugar, colorings, acids, or industrial flavorings, and all of our ciders are naturally gluten-free and vegan friendly. Welcome to cider from a wine point of view!

Products

  Calville Blanc
This is our flagship product, now in its fourth vintage. In addition to MacIntosh and Empire, Russets provide full-bodied sweetness, Calville Blanc provides acidity and citrus notes for balance, and Ashmead's Kernel provides natural tannins for structure. Serve it with artisanal cheeses, game or dessert. [375ml]
  Champlain Orchards Honeycrisp
This light and elegant ice cider is made 100% from Honeycrisp apples grown by Champlain Orchards in Shoreham, Vermont. It has a wonderful pure apple flavor with the characteristic sweet tang of the sought-after Honeycrisp apple. Perfect for apple season, it pairs well with washed rind cheeses, fall fruit desserts and cheesecake. Only 300 cases made [375ml]
  Northern Spy
This single-varietal ice cider is aged in French oak barrels, imparting structure and delicate spice. Northern Spy is an antique variety of apple that was one of the three most popular in America at the end of the 19th century. It has a sweetly tart flavor that is superbly enhanced by the oak. Enjoy this rich treat on its own after dinner, with a creamy blue cheese, or even a cigar!
  ORLEANS
This elegant artisanal wine was developed in collaboration with maître liquoriste Deirdre Heekin. Using our Northern winter cold to concentrate fresh-pressed cider from Vermont apples, we fermented the concentrate to make a pure dry wine infused with a special blend of Vermont-grown herbs. A refreshing, aromatic wine, ORLEANS has delicate apple flavor and white floral, honey, and anise notes. Serve chilled as-is, over ice with a twist of lime, or use it in cocktails.
  Windfall Orchard
This smooth, rich ice cider is made 100% from apples grown by Brad Koehler of Windfall Orchard in Cornwall, Vermont. Brad grows over 80 heirloom varieties of apples on his small, 3-acre farm, and more than 30 of them find their way into this amazing ice cider. It tastes of fresh apple, pear and peach, and is full-bodied and well balanced . Perfect for serving with desserts and cheeses all year round. Only 100 cases made [375ml]
