The James River Distillery is located in the heart of Richmond, Virginia. Our team of Dwight Chew, Matt Brophy, Kristi Croxton and Jonathan Staples are hard at work using world-class Vendome stills to make regionally focused, craft distilled spirits. Relying on over 20 years of alcohol production experience and the highest quality, organic ingredients, the James River Distillery’s exciting and unique line up of products is designed to capture the imagination of bartenders and make spirit lovers rejoice.
Handcrafted from organic non-GMO Virginia corn and organic malted barley, Commonwealth Gin is created using a triple-distillation process that infuses the spirit with a uniquely American blend of botanicals.
This carefully selected blend of botanicals gives Commonwealth Gin warming aromatic notes of pepper and citrus followed by flavors of green spice, resin and juniper, leading to a crisp, refreshing finish.
Commonwealth Gin is ideal in traditional and modern cocktails, as well as for the purist who prefer their gin neat.
*Commonwealth Gin is produced start to finish in our Richmond, VA distillery. We employ traditional equipment and techniques and use only natural agricultural products to craft our spirits.
