Sombra Antigua Winery, family-owned and operated, is the newest addition along on the Mesilla Valley Wine Trail. Housed in a brand new facility with a very attractive and appealing tasting room in the oldest commercial vineyard in New Mexico. Planted here are grapes for Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, Albariño, Barbera and Sombra Antigua’s signature wine, Malbec. Currently offering superb vintages of New Mexico Montepulciano, Tempranillo, Dolcetto plus Red and White table wines. The beautiful location among the vines and pecan trees offers a perfect venue for relaxed wine tasting, entertaining and joining with friends for any of the many scheduled special events or those of your own planning. $5 wine tasting. Open Thursday through Monday noon–6 p.m.
