Cima Collina

Cima Collina Cima Collina produces artisan wines from small Monterey vineyards. The idea of an “artisan wine” is the partnership with growers who meticulously cultivate vineyards, the insistence on using only carefully chosen fruit, and the creation of wine on a barrel-by-barrel basis. The focus on Monterey vineyards is an acknowledgement that this region is now and will continue to produce wines that are interesting, compelling and unique. Many factors conspire to make this a truly gifted region for growing grapes, from the cool maritime climate, well-drained soils and the energy of our winemaking colleagues a dynamic renaissance is currently underway in our region. We invite you try the wines of Cima Collina as well as the other wines of the Monterey Wine Country we are confident will meet your highest expectations.

Cedar Lane Vineyard Merlot - Arroyo Seco
Dark cherry fruit is at the core of this wine. But it's what surrounds the cherry core that we love. In the aroma and on the palate you'll fi nd hints of vanilla, sweet herb, chamomile, and smoke. Fascinating notes of chaparral, rosemary and mint are stuffed in for more good measure. The mouthfeel is round, as Merlot should be. Only 48 cases were produced.
  Cedar Lane Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc
The 2006 Cedar Lane Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is characterized by floral, tropical and grapefruit aromas and has a rich mouthfeel while maintaining a crisp, food-friendly acidity
Chula Vina Vineyard Pinot Noir - Monterey
Purely Pinot Noir in character, the wine shows off black cherry and plum aromas that return in the flavor. Notes of toasted cedar, smoke and spice are well integrated into the wine. The balance and complexity of this new wine is achieved in large part from its velvety tannins and apparent structure that we believe is a critical component of fine Monterey Pinot Noir.
  Hilltop Red Wine - Monterey
A dark, silky, rich blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petite Sirah from the warmer reaches of Monterey.
Newell Vineyard Petite Sirah - Monterey
Spice, cedar, anise and cassis are at the center of this beautiful Petite Sirah. The spice component seems to swing between pepper and more eastern spice fl avors and aromas. It's just hard to put your fi nger on. So, we choose instead to enjoy putting in on our palate. Once there you could not mistake this wine for anything other than Petite. It's dark purple color comes with the forward tannins you can't escape with this varietal. It is an endearingly iconoclastic wine of which we have only 48 cases.
  Pinot Noir - Monterey
Purely Pinot Noir in character, the wine shows off black cherry and plum aromas that return in the flavor. Notes of toasted cedar and spice are well integrated into the wine. The balance and complexity of this new wine is achieved in large part from its velvety tannins and apparent structure that we believe is a critical component of fine Monterey Pinot Noir.
Tondre Grapefield Pinot Noir - Santa Lucia Highlands
This is a very aromatic spicy, sweet oak, cherry, and dried rose aromas; well-integrated oak and cherry, rhubarb, raspberry flavors; long, textural finish. Very balanced wine with food-friendly acidity.
