A couple of years back we found ourselves empty nesters and started thinking about the next chapter in our lives. With the kids out of the house, we could rekindle the freedom and romance of the early years, spend countless hours gazing at one another, taking long walks in the park, and maybe traveling more . . . or we could do something else. It took out about 30 (nano) seconds to decide on something else - starting a small business.
Being born and raised on a farm and ranch, Barry had a great appreciation for the hardworking lifestyle known to many in White Sulphur Springs. With its high elevation and cool evening temperatures, the area grows high quality wheat and malting barley. What kind of business could we start that would celebrate the hard working life style of farming and ranching in our community while utilizing locally grown products? A brewery of course! And, what if we malted the wheat and barley ourselves?
