Best Vineyards is located in Southern Indiana near Caesar's Indiana Riverboat Casino. The winery and vineyards are located not far off IN-11 on 33-acres of farm land and forest. The property falls within the Ohio River Valley wine appellation and is included in the proposed Indiana Uplands appellation.
Best Vineyards has 4 acres of grape vineyards which include Chambourcin, Chardonel, and NY Muscat, 1 acre of black raspberries that is slowly expanding to 5 acres with plan for a U-Pick operation, and nearly an acre of Elderberry plants. Come try a free wine tasting, tour the winery, wander the vineyards and brambles or just sit and enjoy a glass of wine on the deck overlooking the scenic property.

Black Raspberry
A mixed of honey and black raspberries produced this wonderfully semi-dry mead (In truth it’s called a melomel). Lots of wonderful honey and raspberry flavors and aromas. A nice semi-dry dessert wine.

Catawba
A famous Native American red grape produces this sweet mellow pink wine. This wine has bright apple flavors and a musky nose. Made to be served lightly chilled.

Chambourcin
A medium bodied, estate bottled wine which has retained it varietal fruit flavors and deep color. Robust flavors of black cherry and raspberry are enhanced with a light exposure to toasted French Oak for a black pepper finish.

Chardonel
This wine was produced in a Chardonnay style which resulted in a crisp, dry wine with grapefruit and citrus aromas and flavors. Lightly oaked with toasted French Oak chips gives the wine a slight spicy flavor with hints of vanilla.

Hummingbird Red
This wine is made from our estate grown Chambourcin grapes. We press the juice as soon as the grapes are harvested and ferment in a white wine style similar to a White Zinfandel. Lightly sweetened and a smidgen of oak for a light pepper flavor. Not to dry. Not to sweet.

Lavina
Concord grapes are considered the American grape. This is a light sweet dessert wine with that classic ‘grapey’ flavor. The grapes come from the Niagra Valley in Canada. Good for almost any occasion.

Moonflower
A semi-sweet white wine made with our estate grown chardonel grapes that has lovely floral and tropical citrus aromas. Light pinapple and grapefruit flavor with a hint of smokeyness. When chilled it is perfect for sipping on a warm afternoon.

Peach
A blend of our estate grown Chardonel grapes with natural peach juice concentrate. A full bodied, sweet wine which is an excellent dessert wine all by itself.

Strawberry
A blend of our estate grown Chardonel grapes with natural strawberry concentrate. A full bodied, sweet wine, full of strawberry flavor which is an excellent dessert wine all by itself.

Vidal Blanc
A semi-sweet to sweet wine that is slightly neutral in flavor with slight hints of grapefruit and pineapple. Somewhat reminiscent of a Riesling.
