ZeLUS was founded in January of 2015 by Geoffrey Pedder. Geoffrey either runs, bikes or swims regularly and has competed in a multitude of running races and triathlons over many different distances, including marathons and half ironmans. AFter completing many races and being handed either a tasteless watered-down beer, or a delicious craft beer that was too heavy for post-athletics, Geoffrey wondered if it was possible to develop a beer with all the great flavor of a traditional craft beer while keeping ABV’s low and nutrients high. Enter Jon Goldstein, PhD, Chief Brewing and Science Officer; who began advising ZeLUS in February 2015. Jon has a career in biochemistry and cell biology. Over a period of many years he has applied his scientific knowledge to his passion for brewing beer. Jon has also run three marathons and many half marathons. Robin Pedder, the Creative; has worked alongside her husband Geoffrey since the inception of ZeLUS. She comes from a design background; having worked in product design and illustration. She brings her experience to the visuals of ZeLUS illustrating labels, designing apparel, accessories, web deisgn, as well as heading up marketing, social media, and events. Most of her activity these days comes from chasing their three kids, though she makes time for yoga, running, mountain bikkng, and hiking as well.
