With the opening of Paper Moon Vineyards, the Cawrse family marks four generations of owning and operating a family business. After returning home from the war in 1946, Richard Sr. collaborated with his father, Walter, to buy a dairy business in Lorain, Ohio. Eastside Dairy, later known as Cloverdale Creamery, operated for 36 years with extensive home delivery and four neighborhood stores.
Richard Jr. joined forces with his father and grandfather and in 1972 the dairy was adapted to become an institutional food service corporation, Clovervale Foods. With large schools systems as their major accounts, Clovervale operated in Lorain until 2004 when facilities were moved to Amherst, Ohio.
In 2006, Richard and his son, Adam, sold Clovervale Foods and changed the direction of the family business one more time. Appreciation of wine and a desire to offer adults a restorative social atmosphere led the family to establish Paper Moon Vineyards

Directions
Paper Moon Vineyards is located on the northeast corner of Route 2 and Route 60 in Vermilion. If you are coming from Route 2, look for our sign on the right side of the road as you head north into Vermilion. We are before the Sunoco gas station. See you soon!
