Jump Mountain Vineyard is a family-owned farm winery. Our goal is to produce carefully crafted, European-style wine with a distinctly local character from grapes grown and processed on the property. Our first vintage of cabernet sauvignon was produced in 2011 and will be available for sale in summer 2013. Protected by the sandstone knob of Jump Mountain, a local geographic landmark, the vineyard lies on the sunny hillsides of Walkers Creek Valley west of historic Lexington, Virginia. The microclimate of this site provides conditions conducive to growing vinifera grape varieties.
