Uwharrie Vineyards & Brewery

Uwharrie Vineyards & Brewery "Wine makes daily living easier, less hurried, with fewer tensions, and more tolerance." ~ Benjamin Franklin That’s the basis behind Uwharrie Vineyards. We feel that life, as with great wine, should be enjoyed to its fullest. A good bottle of wine should enhance any meal with friends or family, accompany a romantic moment, or to be enjoyed during a moment of relaxation. Most of all it should be fun. We are often asked, “What is the best wine”? Our answer is always the same, “Whichever one you like the most”. Remember a connoisseur is a specialist who knows everything about something and nothing about everything else. So enjoy visiting our website and we encourage you to plan a visit to see us and taste our hand crafted wines, then you can decide which is your favorite. Plan on spending some time enjoying the vineyard grounds, gift shop, and visitor’s center, and most of all enjoy the day and have fun.

  Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine has depth and richness. Plum and currant overtones with a light pepper finish. You will also note a hint of blackberry with the oak. Bold and spicy.
  Carlos
Full bodied and dry with pineapple fruit sensations. Fermented at very cold temperatures to near dryness, yet direct in a light fruit forward overtone which is very soothing to the taste.
  Chardonnay
Beautifully balanced, with the hint of ripe melon overtones. Fermented to dryness, light in color, and accented with the mild hint of pear and vanilla. Our Chardonnay is medium bodied with a very soft, long finish.
  Magnolia
Medium bodied with a soft apple and pear finish. Rich yet mellow with sweet fruit forward overtones. Finished at this level, it captures the true characteristics of the grape as it comes from the vineyard.
  Merlot
Deep color and well balanced, with rich flavors of cherry, plum, and coffee. The perfect choice for a dry red that goes with everything. If you are a Merlot fan, you’ll love this one
  Muscat
Slightly sweet, aromatic, and sensual. The wine expresses cantaloupe and honeydew flavors over a citrus core structure. Delicious as an aperitif or paired with a light meal. Best when served slightly chilled.
  Noble
Full bodied and fruit forward passion to the extreme. This wine is soft, sweet, and reserved with wild berry overtones. It captures the essence of picking the fruit right off the vine and placing it in the bottle.
  Noble Semi-Dry
Cold fermented, full bodied, and fruit forward. This wine is nice and soft yet dry and reserved with berry and spiced overtones. A large personal favorite among many with all different taste buds. A fans favorite.
  White Noble
A wonderful, full bodied, fruit forward wine. This finished dark blush is a true pleasure to enjoy. The dark red Noble grape is harvested and immediately pressed to create this exciting color. Finished sweet, this wine is strong with a blackberry fruit character.
  White Syrah
So you wanted a blush that packs a punch. This medium to dark blush doesn’t let you down. The dark red Syrah grape is harvested and immediately pressed to create this exciting color. Finished semi-dry, this wine is subtle with wild berry character and a hint of spice.
