De Beque Canyon Winery

De Beque Canyon Winery De Beque Canyon is a name that conveys western hospitality, beautiful vistas and good wine. It was founded in August, 1997 by grape grower Bennett Price and his wife, Davy, following years of designing and establishing vineyards in Colorado for other wineries and growers. The winery is a natural extension of the Price's long time involvement in the industry, and especially their interest in wine making. DeBeque Canyon Winery is named for the lengthy canyon through which the Colorado River flows from the mountains into the broad Grand Valley of western Colorado. A growing season of warm days and cool nights help create the intensity of flavors which delight residents and the many visitors who travel through this green oasis in the west. Join us for a sample of old-fashioned western hospitality and excellent wines, especially Claret, our "flagship" wine!

Products

  Cabernet Sauvignon,
Always a favorite among the "big wines". Aromas and taste of berries and cedary oak. Lingering finish with a hint of spiciness. Will cellar well.
  Chardonnay,
Wonderful, with "buttery" flavors. Aged in French oak 10+ months, stirred on the lees. Lush, mid-palate finish. Absolutely the very best with Brie and crusty bread.
  Claret,
Our Signature Award-winning wine, Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec. Decant to open up the wonderful aromas of this beautiful wine. Cellar for that special occasion meal.
  Colorado Port,
Bennett's fortified blend of Cabernet Savignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc. Rich and complex. An excellent dessert accompaniment, or indulge yourself after dinner!
  Gerwürztraminer,
Spicy, heady aromas with off-dry sweetness to satisfy the palate. Especially good with oriental menus, curry dishes, as well as Holiday meals.
  Merlot Rosé,
Distinct strawberry aroma, fresh flavor of the grape. Crisp finish, slightly sweet. Chill.
  Red Fox Merlot,
Fruity flavors, toasty oak. GOOD wine for everyday: red pastas, the Great American Hamburger and last-minute meals (even your mother's meatloaf?!!)
  Reserve Merlot,
Aromas of berries and plum, cedar and tobacco. Intense complexity, lingering finish on the palate. Serve with lamb, beef or veal with a rich sauce. Enjoy!
  Syrah Port,
A unique Port with flavors of berry, a slightly peppery nose and taste, not so sweet, with a long lingering finish.
  Viognier,
Aromas of tropical fruit, melons and citrus. A slightly sweet, lingering finish. Serve with grilled shrimp and a tasty marinade. OR, simply enjoy as an aperitif. Chill, but do not serve too cold.
