Bodega del Sur is a family venture producing premium quality wines from the best quality grapes, mostly from Calaveras County. It is owned and managed by Victor and Evelyn Reyes-Umana, who have focused on putting together the best possible team in order to provide a totally memorable experience.
Our wines are sold in the finest restaurants in the Sierra Foothills, as well as the San Francisco Bay Area.
Our vision is quite simple. It is to make the Bodega del Sur experience a truly memorable one for our customers -- through the quality of our wines and the professionalism of our staff.
Carmesi Stain Glass It was suggested we have a mission statement. We turned down "retire and operate a small, family owned winery" because ... well, just because. Also, "putting a glass of wine on every dinner table"' seemed to be a bit too ambitious.
If we truly do have a mission it is -- obviously – to produce the best wine we possibly can, and, equally important, to provide unrivaled customer service.
We want our customers to hold such fond memories of visiting our tasting room, that they look forward to returning.
If we had to write it out, our mission is to give everyone visiting – whether our tasting room or our website -- a totally memorable experience. We want everyone to take pleasure in some of the best wines California can produce. We want our visitors to feel like part of a family…. the extended Bodega del Sur family.
