Soft, earthy and cherry characteristics show prominently in this vintage, followed by a full body and good tannin structure. The sunny and warm 2002 growing season gives this wine round and mouth-filling flavours. The aromas and flavours of this wine are characterized by earthy, cherry and tobacco notes. As a cousin of the Pinot Noir, it matches very nicely with poultry, pork and salmon, and many Asian dishes. This wine is drinking very well now, and it should cellar until at least 2010.

2003 Z3, (Zweigelt, Merlot, Pinot Noir)
Dr. Zweiglet did very well when he experimented with a St. Laurent and a Lamberger to create a red wine which grows well in colder climats. He never intended for this varietal to be planted in Canada and start a new revolution of outstanding blend wines here at our winery. This our 2nd release of our awardwinning Z3 is just as amazing as our first one was. The extra age of the Zweigelt vines makes this release an even more exiting one then our fist 2002 Z3. Again as all Zweigelt wines, this wine is drinking very well now, and it should cellar well until at least 2014.
  2004 Zweigelt - Okanagan Valley

Instant gold medal winner at its first competition, the Indianapolis wine show, this ice wine produced aromas of apricots, caramel and honey, followed by an intense, but a balanced sweetness. It matches with flans, fruit ices, pastries and some cheese or by itself.

Dolce Amore Late Harvest Riesling (Trockenbeeren Auslese) Estate-Release
This is another first in Canada's wine history. On February 14 (Valentines Day) Hainle Vineyards Estate Winery harvested the first ever Valentines wine in North America. At our Peachland vineyards on the morning of February 14 2003 the crew of our winery harvested our Riesling grapes. The wineries intention was to make a wine which is even rarer then ice wine, a special Valentines day harvest wine called Dolce Amore (italien for sweet Love). And sweet love it is, at 37% sugar it has a higher content then needed to produce ice wine. The result was rich characteristics of our typical ice wine tast. Apricots, caramel, honey and nuts followed by the sweetness which makes these wines so great. A total of only 4.800 bottles containing 200ml will be released in December 2003. P.S. over the past 25 years, we would have been able to make this great wine only 4 times.

This wine has a gloriously floral nose, more like a bouquet than a glass of wine, although the flavors are packed with fruit; the clear winner of the flight. Drinks well on its own.   Pinot Gris
2005 was one of our best years for white wines. Due to a lot of rain during the year harvests were low but the quality was very high. This wine shows very nice tropical fruits and is as all our Pinot gris very fruite-forward.
  Pinot Noir Signature Series
2004 was another hot and great year for Okanagan reds. Dark colour and a brooding nose of cherry and plum. The palate is rich with hints of medium tossed French oak that gives it a taste of vanilla in the finish. The chocolate blends in really well with the plum notes. It has great texture with light tannins. A lovely wine that even released earl shows already great potential to be one of our best Pinot Noirs ever.
  Riesling In The Rapids
The great grape of Germany, Riesling is enjoying an overdue resurgence of popularity, particularly since Canadian wineries started working with the grape to produce some excellent quality wines. Fresh 'Granny Smith' apple and lemon peel flavours with racy acidity are typical flavours in youth, with oily kerosene tones developing as the wine matures. This New World Rieslings is full of vibrant rich fruit. Cool-fermented in stainless steel using selected yeast strains and left on the lees for several months. Completely dry with a richly extracted texture, concentrated citrus fruit and very taut, minerally acid balance. Best approached in 2004, and capable of cellaring through at least 2012.   Z2
Blend wines are becoming our signature wines. Originally blended because of the necessity of stretching our Zweigelt production to higher values we created our Z2 and Z3 wines. This enabled us to produce production increased of over 150% without sacrificing our quality of wines. To out surprise our customers are drawn to our creations like we never could imagine. Sommeliers love them and wine collectors are storing these wines in their wine cellars. This unique red blend of Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from select vineyards of the Okanagan Valley was inspired by the popularity of our release the Z3 red wine. The Cabernet sauvignon provides the foundation of a tasty and satisfying full body table wine, while the Zweigelt gives plenty of fruit spices and chocolate notes. Some of the best vineyards in BC provided the components that made this wine the mouth-filling adventure that it is. The wine matches beautifully with spicy poultry dishes, Mediterranean foods, soft cheeses, and shellfish. This wine is drinking very well now, and it should cellar until at least 2015.

  Z3 (Merlot, Pinot Meunier, Zweigelt)
Dr. Zweiglet did very well when he experimented with a St. Laurent and a Lamberger to create a red wine which grows well in colder climats. He never intended for this varietal to be planted in Canada and start a new revolution of outstanding blend wines here at our winery. This our 2nd release of our awardwinning Z3 is just as amazing as our first one was, in fact we think with the change of one of our components from Pinot Noir to the more medium bodied Pinot Meunier we achieved to produce a better wine. The extra age of the Zweigelt vines makes this release an even more exiting one then our fist 2002 Z3. Again as all Zweigelt wines, this wine is drinking very well now, and it should cellar well until at least 2014.&
  Z3 Barrel Aged Reserve

Here, the Syrah provides the foundation of a tasty and satisfying full body red wine, while the Zweigelt gives plenty of fruit and chocolate notes. The Merlot component provides peppery and spicy components. Some of the best vineyards in BC provided the components that made this wine the mouth-filling adventure that it is. The wine matches beautifully with spicy poultry dishes, Mediterranean foods, soft cheeses, red meats and shellfish. This wine is drinking very well now, and it should cellar until at least 2015.
  Zweigelt Barrel Aged
This great wine came from the same grapes our steel tank release was crafted with. In addition it was oaked 12 month in medium tossed French Oak. This is most likely our best Zweigelt ever. The aroma has prominent black cherry, blackberry and chocolate notes with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and leather. A nice taste of vanilla, caramel and dry soft tannins are the perfect finish for this wine. It matches well with many dishes; however it is my favored wine for duck, wild game and lam.
  Zweigelt Steel tank
2004 was an outstanding year for red wines which shows well in our newest Zweigelt release. This Austrian variety has a fresh raspberry, and chocolaty character, with a medium body and light tannins. Matches with our Plateau Campagnard, Vegetarian Spring Salad, Beef Pinot Noir, also with Mediterranean flavors. This wine is one of my favored wines with oysters.
