At an elevation of 1800 feet in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, JBR Vineyards & Winery passionately produces small quantities of hand-tended classic wine grapes and hand-crafted wine. We specialize in two grape varieties that are not widely grown in Virginia: Riesling and Pinot Noir.
The Riesling grapes are used to make a traditional German-style desert wine. That means it is a low alcohol wine containing residual sugar. But the sweetness is balanced by the high acidity of the Riesling grape, resulting in a truly remarkable taste experience.
Pinot Noir is the grape of Burgundy fame. At JBR Vineyards, it produces a robust, dry red wine with hints of cherry flavors. The local terroir gives it a unique character.
