Shady Lane Cellars is located on a historic 150-acre farm between Traverse City and Suttons Bay on the Leelanau Peninsula. With the knowledge that fine wine begins in the vineyard, owners Joe O'Donnell and Bill Stouten of Grand Rapids searched long and hard for the ideal location for their winery. Strategically situated to benefit from the meso climate created by Lake Michigan and Grand Traverse Bay, it is a prime vineyard site. Motivated by a single-minded focus on quality, and with the expertise of winemaker Adam Satchwell, Shady Lane Cellars has consistently produced exceptional table and sparkling wines. Shady Lane Brut, a classic blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and Shady Lane Blanc de Blancs, 100% Chardonnay, have been awarded several gold medals. Shady Lane Cellars produces a delightful gold medal-winning Sparkling Riesling as well. In addition to sparkling wines, they offer exceptional estate table wines including Chardonnay, Riesling, Vignoles and Pinot Noir, and a variety of proprietary blends.

Directions
Take M-22 north of Traverse City along the West Bay approximately 8 miles. Go west on Shady Lane one mile to tasting room on the south side of the road.

Cherry Port
We love cherries up here. This is our way of offering you what Leelanau is so well known for. Intense aromas and flavors of dark, ripe sweet cherries with a blast of vanilla and clove from oak ageing and not too cloying. Nothing better with dark chocolate!

Made only once every two or three years. Totally dry, spicy and very perfumed! 100% Riesling. 100% stainless steel fermented and aged

Estate Riesling
Combines the best of our Dry Riesling and Semi-dry Riesling, floral and a little spicy. 100% Riesling. 100% stainless steel fermented and aged

Pinot Grigio
Crisp, light and refreshing in the Italian Pinot Grigio style. Fermented and aged completely in stainless steel tanks with no oak ageing. This wine exhibits aromas and flavors of citrus, fresh melon and herbs. A wonderful compliment to seafood, light fish dishes and salads.

Pinot Gris
This is the first vintage of this wine. A cross between Italian Pinot Grigio and Alsatian Pinot Gris in style. 100% Pinot Gris. 60% stainless steel fermented and aged. 40% fermented then aged in French oak for 6 months.

Pinot Noir
Layers of cherry and cranberry fruit with lots of spice and a little smoky oak. 100% Pinot Noir. Aged in French oak for 12 months

Semi-dry Riesling
A Gold Medal winner at the Michigan State Fair! Soft with lots of peachy fruit. 100% Riesling. 100% stainless steel fermented and aged

Serenity
The wine that makes everyone happy. Medium-bodied and fruity, not too dry, not too sweet. 70% Vignoles, 30% Chardonnay. Stainless steel fermented then aged in American oak for 9 months
