Here at David Arthur Vineyards we have a lot for which to be thankful. Since you last heard from us we have sold the last of our 2001 vintage and had a wonderful 2003 harvest. We are especially encouraged that our children have taken an active interest in the wine business. For those of you who plan on stopping by the Robert Mondavi Winery, be sure to look for Gretchen Long. She is a very knowledgable young lady with a great personality who bears (but for the spiked hair) a striking resemblance to her father, David. In addition, Bob's son, Robert has been working at David Arthur and Montagna for the last couple of years. This year, with guidance from Uncle David, he embarks on replanting the largest vineyard on the property. It's been a long time coming, but we fully immersed in a remodel at David Arthur. Our tractor barn/winery is getting a fresh face. If you've stopped by recently you already know what we're talking about. Fermentation tanks have been moved from the building slab to the parking area. Eventually they will be housed in the tank room addition. But for now old plumbing, miscellaneous boards and rebar are strewn everywhere. Now the race begins to see if we can put it back together before harvest. Of course not having it together has never held us up in the past....
