Products

  Cayuga White
Our first varietal is the Cayuga White which is a full-bodied wine made from grapes grown on our property. Once harvest and the fermenting process is complete, the wine is put in American oak barrels for up to six months to bring out the best of the grapes’ flavors. Because this is a full-bodied white wine, it is delicious any time of year and pairs nicely with both chicken/fish as well as red meat.
  Chambourcin
This wine is a delicate blend of 90% chambourcin and 10% cabernet sauvignon. The grapes used in the production of this wine were grown in our vineyard.
  Chardonnay
Our Chardonnay is crafted with minimal oak influence, to allow the bright fruit characteristics of the Chardonnay grape to shine through. Fresh citrus and pear aromas lead to a nicely balanced and smooth expression in the mouth. A Chardonnay to enjoy pre-meal and to pair with most chicken and fish entrees.
  Jack Rabbit Red
Our very popular "house table red" is an appealing blend of Rougheon and Concord grapes (both more noted for producing jelly). The concord gives the wine an unmistakable "grapey" aroma, and the wine's semi-sweet, smooth (non-jelly) taste is a treat for your palate.
  Jack Rabbit White
Our semi-sweet "house table white" is a blend of Cayuga and Niagra grapes (two French-American Hybrids, originally from New York state). The nose pleasing citrus aroma leads to a smooth and refreshing taste A perfect picnic partner, or to enjoy before and during your meal of lightly seasoned chicken or seafood.
  Malbec
We imported this juice from the finest vineyards in Argentina, fermented it out, and will be putting it in French oak barrels for 6 to 9 months to finish the process. This beautiful, rich wine should be ready by May, 2009. It will really be something not to be missed! This will pair well with a porterhouse or prime rib.
  Pinot Grigio
This wine is a true summer/fall favorite. With it’s grapefruit hints along with the smooth feel on the palate it is sure to please the most discriminating wine lover. Pare with shellfish and chicken.
  Rabbits Foot
A wonderful, fresh, crisp white wine with a beautiful bouquet to enjoy with grilled fish, chicken or as a beginning to a lovely weekend evening. This wine is semi-sweet.
  Sangiovese
Our first production from this Italian (Tuscan/Chianti) grape is nearly ready for release. We are VERY pleased and excited about the quality of this wine, as verified in an independent, blind tasting and by two outside "experts." What makes this wine exciting are its wonderful, fresh fruit aromas and taste. This wine is much more serious and complex than most Italian and California productions. Come taste and you will understand our excitement!!
  Shiraz
The newest member to the Running Hare family, our Shiraz is a big, full-bodied wine that bursts into your mouth with distinctive notes of black pepper. The grapes are imported from Chile and aged in American oak and finished in French oak to give this wine a complexity rarely experienced in other shiraz wines.
