  2002 Cote D' Avila
This fun Rhône blend tickles the nose with hints of raspberry and ollalieberry enhanced by underlying accents of clove and nutmeg. A medium body is laced through with plum flavors and vibrant black cherries. Good tannins and a clean finish round out this highly approachable wine. Crack open a bottle for your next backyard BBQ.
  2002 Merlot
This hefty wine bursts with blackberry and ripe fruit flavors. Vanilla and toasty accents in aroma are a result of the high percentage of new oak. The richness of fruit in the front of this wine rolls into full tannins and a smoky robust finish that screams for beef stew or a combination pizza.
  2003 Cabernet Sauvignon
There is nothing shy about this Cabernet Sauvignon. It carries true characteristics of this noble grape and an amazing variety of flavors. Powerful plum and rich blackberry fruit marry well with the licorice and vanilla notes. The lively structure and matured depth of the wine wraps around a core of spicy currants and black cherry.
  2003 Chardonnay
This is a soft wine with a ripe melon and pineapple forefront. Green apple and woody flavors show on the palate carrying through the slightly buttery finish. Dish up a steaming bowl of white rice topped with chicken and vegetable kabobs with this fabulous Chardonnay.
  2003 Pinot Noir
An earth Pinot Noir brimming with flavors of cherry and spice. This medium-bodied wine has a complex finish while displaying luscious fruit and supple, well-integrated tannins. A perfect accompaniment to honey glazed ham and roasted potatoes with herbs and white pepper.
  2003 Syrah
The inaugural release of Avila Syrah is deep, dark, dense, and chewy with an abundant mouthful of blueberry, dark plum, and currant. Approachable, plush warm climate fruit tones, characteristic Santa Barbara's warm days merge with the 3,200 feet high elevation cool climate character of Asian spice, tar, and black pepper.
