Crowsnest Vineyards

The winery is nestled in the valley on the Upper Beach near Crawston. Named after Highway #3 which is also known as the Crowsnest Highway. The winery is a family run business under the guidance of Olaf, Sabine, Ann and Sascha Heinecke; who purchased the winery in October 1998. Facilities include dining lounge, patio and newly designed wine and gift shop.

CHARDONNAY STAHLTANK
Stahltank (pronounced shtall-tonk) is German for Steel Tank. This wine was created in Stainless Steel Tanks without barrels or chips. Its complexity is derived through the Winemakers influence. This Chardonnay displays the characters we have imparted on the grapes using a range of yeast strains, fermentation temperatures, and lees contact. This complex, fruit driven wine is best enjoyed with Poultry, Salmon, and other Fresh-Northwest Cuisine.

CUVEE #3
Blend of Auxerrois, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, dry.

GEWURTRAMINER
This wine displays concentrated varietal aromas of lychee with a subtle layering of floral notes. These flavours follow through to a pleasant fruit driven taste on the palate. The wine is bottled slightly off dry yet finishes crisp and shows refined balance. Our Gewurztraminer was created with food in mind and is an excellent accompaniment to roasted pork and most mildly spiced Asian dishes.

HARVEST MOON
This blend of Pinot Auxerrois and Riesling is aromatic, light and fruity. It is slightly floral on the nose and has a smooth and mellow finish. Excellent on its on own or with appetizers.

MARECHAL FOCH
Un-oaked, dry, jam, juicy acid.

Merlot
Our Estate Grown Merlot was allowed to hang on the vines until late fall. The resulting grapes displayed ripe flavours that were retained through the fermentation. This wine has distinct varietal aromas, showing the results of aging in our cellars with a desired complexity of a mature red wine. The wine has deep flavours and a supple tannin structure that will allow the wine to be cellared

Slightly oaked, ML, dry, Plums and blackberries.

Ovation
Ovation is a blend of late harvest Optima and late harvest Chardonnay. This wine is very flowery on the nose and spicy on the palet. Slightly creamy due to the malo-lactic fermentation.
Pair with any dessert or enjoy it on its own.

First vintage, medium sweet, 10g RS, fruity with floral finish

PINOT NOIR
Our Estate grown Pinot Noir was made using traditional techniques. Long skin contact and lees stirring have resulted in this smooth example of the "Prince" of the Red varieties. The wine has a rich stewed berry bouquet that is typical of this variety. The palate is rich with Raspberry flavour and a slight earthiness that is common to this wine. Enjoy with Lamb, Beef and other hearty dishes
