Inspired by the wines of Pomerol and St. Emillion in Bordeaux France, where wines are made primarily of Merlot and Cabernet Franc varieties accompanied by a structural component, Cabernet Sauvignon. Available exclusively at Darioush, the Red Table Wine exemplifies the character of these wines as each component compliments the other creating spicy aromatic blend with a rich, concentrated mid palette that opens beautifully to reveal dark fruits, luscious cassis, and hints of anise. This wine is approachable upon release and will continue to age superbly with cellaring for 5-7 years.

The 2002 vintage is superb. The cool, consistent growing season provided extended hang-time and even ripening, resulting in more concentration and highly developed flavors. The 2002 Signature Cabernet Sauvignon exemplifies how an ideal vintage and meticulous attention to detail in the vineyard can result in powerful wines with extraordinary depth and character.

Abundant with flavors of crisp green apple, fresh melon and Asian pear. Vivid, rich layers of crème brule and shades of vanilla along with a hint of hazelnut open to a subtle core of bright citrus fruits. This Burgundian style Chardonnay displays the mineral character that the vineyard brings to the fruit. Enjoyable now, this wine will continue to develop over the next few years.

Consistent with past vintages, the 2003 Darioush Signature Merlot maintains its distinctive style with fruit from our three estate vineyards, each providing unique flavor characteristics and textures to the finished wine.

Dark fruits, roasted espresso and a spice-box of white pepper, clove and smoky sandalwood-incense aromas marry perfectly with layers of lush black cherry, cocoa and sweet vanilla flavors. True to the potential of the 2002 vintage, the texture is powerful and mouth filling, with fine grained, silky tannins. Drinkable now and will further develop over the next six to eight years.

True to the varietal, our 2004 Signature Viognier possesses abundant floral aromatics of orange blossom, honeysuckle and fresh apricots. Rich and concentrated flavors of ripe white peaches and Anjou pears are complemented by hints of toasted walnuts and creamy vanilla bean. We enjoy this wine upon release when its bright fruit and aromas are most vibrant.

This rare and extremely limited wine is made only when Mother Nature allows. In the seven years since Darioush established his winery, the 2003 vintage was only the second vintage where we had the climate and good fortune to harvest grapes with Botrytis Cineria (Noble Rot). When this phenomenon occurs, the grapes are blessed with greater concentration of flavor and a delightfully unique honeyed-apricot flavor.
