ADEA Wine Company

ADEA Wine Company We were introduced to the wine industry when we arrived in Yamhill County in 1984. Absorbing all we could, Dean, with the helpful efforts of Michael Etzel (Beaux Freres Vineyard) planted the estate vineyard in 1990. Also in 1990 the hobby began. Three barrels divided equally with the Beaux Freres family were treasured, tasted and bottled into a very rewarding wine. The trend grew and became a reality in 1995 when the first vintage of Fisher Family Cellars was handcrafted at the Medici Winery, Newberg, Oregon. Our focus remains to produce superior Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. To blend the fruits from varying vineyards, thus, varying the soils, elevations, clones, micro-climates and flavors, we strive to produce the wines that show what the North Willamette Valley has to offer. 1995 through 1998 vintages were produced at the Medici Winery. In 1998 we were notified of a trademark conflict with the Fisher Family label. Not to be discouraged, we decided to move to a new idea. The first label with the new name: ADEA (Ann Dean Erica Adam, the Fisher family) was posted to the 1998 vintage when we had relocated to the Lemelson winery in Carlton, Oregon. While the name may have changed, the goal has not. The Fisher family continues to strive to make Oregon's tastiest premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Pinot Gris was added to the list in 1998. By focusing on limited production in all varietals close attention to each detail of the vintage is attainable. In 2002, we relocated from the Lemelson winery to our permanent facility here in Gaston. Located at the entrance to Yamhill County from the North, we are easy to find and have continued to source from hand-picked vineyards for our blends. The vineyards are all located within 25 miles of the winery in Yamhill and Washington Counties of the North Willamette Valley. Vineyards such as Whistling Ridge, Shea, Anderson Family, Hawks View, Laurel, Durant, Yamhill Valley and Coleman have all been exceptional contributors to the "flagship" Pinot Noir. In 2001, two single vineyard Pinot Noirs were bottled from the Coleman Vineyard and the Yamhill Valley Vineyard. The Pinot Noirs and Chardonnay have continually received award-winning reviews. After a two-year break Pinot Gris was added back to the production in 2003.
