We have 17 acres under vine and grow nine different varietals including pinot blanc, semillon, merlot and cabernet franc. However, good things come in small packages – we boast several award winning wines, a popular patio lunch, a new self-catering cottage and one of the prettiest settings anywhere.   Blanc de Noir
This classic French style wine is made by running off some of the juice used in our Seven Poplars Pinot Noir before it has had a chance to capture much of the tannin, flavour and colour from the skins. In Burgundy, this rose wine is referred to as saignee. A hint of sweetness makes this a versatile beverage to be enjoyed with a picnic lunch, relaxing on the deck or for pairing with a holiday meal. All the grapes for this delicious wine were estate grown here on the beautiful Naramata Bench.
  Cabernet Merlot
This medium to full bodied wine begins with aromas of strawberry, raspberry and cassis leading to more spicy notes of cinnamon and anise. The palate is rich and jammy with good structure and ripe tannin. Drinking well right now, but will continue to improve for up to 5 years. Try it with red meats and rich cheeses. All the grapes for this delicious red blend were grown here on the beautiful Naramata Bench.
  Delice
This proprietary blend of Schonberger and Morio Muscat has been a favourite at Lake Breeze since 1998. The light style of this dessert wine will appeal to those who find others too sticky and cloying. Enjoy the perfumed nose and unique taste. The grapes for this wine were estate grown.
  Ehrenfelser
This is a gorgeous, aromatic wine full of complex tropical and dried fruit aromas with hints of honey. The palate is rich with great body and an extremely long finish. In most years, the Ehrenfelser is the first wine to sell out in the wine shop. All the grapes for this wine were grown on the beautiful Naramata Bench.
  Gewurztraminer
Gewurztraminer develops an unmistakable aroma of perfume and rose petals in almost every region it is produced. In this wine, those aromas are complimented by hints of tropical fruit. The palate is long, clean and fresh. Though drier than many, this Gewurztraminer is a nice match with Thai dishes or other spicy fare. All the grapes for this wine were grown here on the beautiful Naramata Bench.
  Late Harvest Gewurztraminer
The grapes for this wine are always picked in December, well after harvest, allowing for beautifully rich and concentrated sweet juice. Fruit aromas and flavours abound in this wine. Look for strawberry and cherry complimented by hints of raisins and honey. Enjoy this beautifully balanced dessert wine as an aperitif or with cheese or chocolate after a meal.
  Merlot
This barrel aged versatile red wine can be enjoyed with a hearty meal or by itself in the evening while contemplating life. All the grapes for this delicious red wine were grown here on the beautiful Naramata Bench.
  Pinot Blanc
Fresh fruit, honeyed fruit, dried fruit. This wine is all about fruit flavours and aromas. The nose is a smorgasbord of citrus, apricot, peach and pineapple, amongst others. There are also layers of honey and floral hints. All these aromas follow onto the palate, which is clean and crisp with a long and ever so slightly sweet finish. The Pinot Blanc has been our signature wine for many years and is a consistent award winner. All the grapes for this delicious white wine were estate grown here on the beautiful Naramata Bench.
  Pinot Gris
This wine is fresh and fruity with aromas of pineapple and peach dominating the nose. The palate is lively with an underlying spiciness. Good acidity keeps the wine fresh and gives the palate length. Enjoy with salads and seafoods. The 2004 Pinot Gris won the gold medal at the Canadian Wine Awards. All the grapes for this delicious white wine were grown here on the beautiful Naramata Bench.
  Semillon
This beautifully complex wine abounds with herbaceous and fruity aromas. Look also for a hint of gooseberry. The palate is reminiscent of a sauvignon blanc and has great texture and mouthfeel. Good acidity ensures a crisp, long finish, an excellent match with all types of seafood. The 2004 Semillon won a gold medal at the All Canadian Wine Awards. All the grapes for this delicious white wine were grown here on the beautiful Naramata Bench.
  Seven Poplars Chardonnay
Seven Poplars denotes our premium wines – those created from select barrels and from select vineyards. The Chardonnay grapes at Lake Breeze grow in soil with a clay content of more than 80%. These difficult growing conditions ensure that tonnage levels are never higher than 2 tons per acre. Very little vineyard manipulation is required in order to produce beautifully ripe and concentrated fruit. The nose on this wine is a complex mix of citrus, peach and green apple with spicy oak notes. The lemon/lime palate is integrated with subtle hints of vanilla and a buttery texture. The finish is long, dry and ever so slightly warm.
  Seven Poplars Merlot
Seven Poplars denotes our premium wines – those created from select barrels and from select vineyards. Grapes for this wine come from the oldest red vines on the estate and from Olde Pine Vineyards. Shoot thinning and crop thinning is practiced every year and yield is never higher than 3 tons per acre. This rich and full bodied Merlot is full of aromas of strawberry, plum and black cherry with notes of coffee. The palate is rich with red berry flavours and spicy oak. It is well structured with fine tannin and a long finish. I recommend cellaring for 1 year but the wine will continue to improve for 5 to 10 years. Great with red meats and will stand up to rich sauces.
  Seven Poplars Pinot Noir
Seven Polplars denotes our premium wines – those created from select barrels and from select vineyards. Pinot Noir is a very fickle variety requiring constant attention as well as lots of work during the growing season. Our Pinot Noir is planted on both east and west facing slopes and on sandy as well as deep silt soils. The whole bag of viticultural tricks is employed to control vigour and crop level. Tonnage is never allowed to exceed 3 tons per acre and is frequently much lower than that. The result is fruit that reaches physiological ripeness as well as the desired sugar levels. You will find predominant aromas of raspberry, black cherry and anise with an earthy background. The palate is plush with a firm and ripe tannin finish. A well-structured wine designed for food and great with game dishes. I recommend cellaring this wine for 1 year, but it will continue to improve for 5 to 10 years.
  Seven Poplars Pinotage
Pinotage is a South African variety which is a hybrid of Pinot Noir and Cinsault. The first vines were planted here in 1996 and a further half acre was planted in 1997. This is a great example of a Pinotage albeit a bit far from it’s homeland. The nose is full of rich, jammy red and black berry fruit. A full bodied wine that is drinking well now but will continue to improve with age. This is the only Pinotage produced in Canada.
  Zephyr Brut
The cuvee for this sparkling wine was comprised of 60% pinot meunier and 40% pinot blanc. Fermentation took place in this bottle in the traditional method (methode classique), and the wine was matured in contact with the lees for a minimum of 12 months. Enjoy as an apertif, with dessert, or in celebration!
