After visiting a number of California wine regions Robert Olson, owner and President, believed there was great potential in Temecula Valley and set out to purchase a vineyard and winery. Rich in history, Olson purchased Filsinger Vineyards and Winery in 2010 from Dr. William Filsinger. Founded in 1978 by Dr. William and Katharine Filsinger, the 35 acres of vineyard property was planted with Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc grapes in 1972 and was the first to plant Gewürztraminer grapes in Southern California, which later became a signature wine for the winery.Wine brings people together…. Because wine is made for sharing, its flavors turn a lazy afternoon on the patio, dinner with friends or a special occasion into something extraordinary. Wine helps create memories, and for Robert Olson, owner of Danza del Sol Winery, wine has become his family’s legacy.
Under the ownership of Robert Olson, Danza del Sol Winery began with a simple goal in mind, “ To produce quality wine at affordable price.” After extensive renovations to the grounds and winemaking facility, and working closely with winemaker Mike Tingley, Danza del Sol Winery has developed a program of, “Producing wines with a strong Mediterranean influence. We pride ourselves on having something for everyone, while maintaining high quality at affordable prices. Today Danza del Sol Winery makes more than 12,000 cases of wine each year that can only be purchased through the tasting room.
Danza del Sol currently has over 20 acres of vineyard planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer and Viognier. In the Spring of 2014 Danza del Sol will plant 10 more acres with a range of additional white and red varietals.

Directions
From San Diego: Take I-15 north; one hour. From Orange County: Take Hwy. 91 east to I-15 south; one hour. From Los Angeles: Take Hwy. 60 or I-10 south; one hour, 20 minutes. From Palm Springs: I-10 west to Hwy. 79 south; one hour. Once you have arrived in Temecula, exit 79 South. Drive 4 miles, turn left on Anza Road. Go 1 block, turn right on to De Portola Road. The Filsinger Vinyard & Winery is located on left side at 39050 De Portola Road.

Cabernet Sauvignon "Vintner's Reserve"
A classically bold, full bodied wine with black currant flavors. Aged 3 years in French Oak, this wine has a wonderful and lasting smooth flavor. Outstanding with most cheeses and steaks. "Special Reserve" indicates a particularly heavy wine from an outstanding vintage.

Chardonnay "Special Reserve"
A bright, crisp, medium to heavy bodied wine with a blend of apple, citrus, and a nuance of oak.

Diamond Cuvee
A dry Brut with extended oak aging.

Fume Blanc
A fresh Sauvignon Blanc with lemongrass and papaya flavors layered over a hint of licorice and a touch of oak.

Gewürztraminer
Distinct varietal aroma and spice with a grapefruit/citrus finish. A powerful and delightful bouquet. The German word "gewürz" means spicy and our wine is no exception.

Late Harvest Zinfandel (Light Port)
A light port with a taste of rasberries and cherries. An excellent after dinner sipper and is especially nice with chocolate.

Merlot
A full bodied Merlot, rich and flavorful with blackberry, pomegranate and varied spice flavors.

Orange Muscat
Very aromatic, slightly sweet with a significant orange bouquet.

Riesling
Fresh, crisp, and lively with apple/pear flavor. Classic.

Strawberry Rose Champagne
A dry, light, Gamay/Riesling blend with a hint of natural strawberry flavor.

Syrah
A unique 100% varietal red wine that is rich in color with smoky raspberry and plum overtones.

Viognier
A rare estate bottled wine with an enticing floral nose and light honeysuckle / apricot flavors.
