La Sonrisa del Tecolote Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine is like a delightful guest you don't want to leave… and it doesn't… it lingers and grows for minutes after you have had a sip. The wine is immediately approachable a short time after opening. For a special experience, try decanting, but this is not necessary for a charming sensory experience. Dark, ruby colors suggest intense fruit flavors. On the nose, it exhibits spices and Turkish mocha coffee, as well as an herbal bouquet. The wine is approachable now; yet, will improve and age well for the next 6 to 9 years.

  Las Patolitas Chardonnay
Just bottled, the spanking new 2004 vintage of Las Patolitas is a worthy successor to the triple-gold medal winning 2003. Traditional methods such as barrel fermentation and aging, primarily in seasoned French oak, with 70% of the lots undergoing malolactic fermentation serve to lend complexity but make no mistake; the fruit is the focus here.
Miradero Napa and Sonoma County Merlot

This wine opens with blueberry, currant, anise, and cedar notes, while layers of mocha-scented black cherries hover on the palate. The 2002 Miradero finishes with a long, toasty finish, as both French and American oak were used for aging, giving it the polished characteristics of an elegant Pomerol. Chocolate and boysenberry round out the finish for a truly succulent Merlot. This wine is ready to drink now. Or with proper cellaring, it should develop quite nicely in the bottle. This 2002 Miradero Napa and Sonoma County Merlot offers depth, richness, and a long, elegant finish. It is best paired with sumptuous rack of lamb and/or your favorite beef dishes.
