We are Uncommon Loon Brewing Company, and are excited to be bringing fresh delicious “Uncommonly Good” craft beer to the Lakes area.
Our dreams began decades ago, but the journey really began in January of 2017 at Brad’s retirement party. Lifetime friend Corky asked Brad what his next adventure was. The answer? “I’ll be brewing beer”! The ensuing discussion moved quickly from “What if?” to “Let’s do this!”. Corky’s good friend and neighbor John joined the team shortly thereafter, and we became legally incorporated in June of 2017.
We purchased our property in April of 2018, an 11,400 sq. ft. former Fire Station and Community Center on Highway 8 in Chisago City. We will be operating a 10 barrel (310 gallon) production brewery and 2800 sq ft. taproom with patio. Our beers will be served directly from 310 gallon serving tanks, ensuring the freshest beer possible. Come join us for some “Uncommonly Good Beer” when we open fall of 2018! Cheers!
