Established in 2003, Bar Harbor Cellars has a multi-year commitment to produce local wines. Our wines are produced from a variety of grapes grown in small co-ops throughout Europe and North America. Our vineyard will offer our own grapes by 2007. We hope to continue to support the small growers who have shared their harvest with us for years to come. The Farm continues to produce cut flowers, plants and produce for local consumption while the vineyard is being established. Tastings are offered daily at the winery from 11 AM - 5 PM (in season). Bar Harbor offers the opportunity to market these local products while utilizing one of the few remaining working farms (Sweet Pea's) in Bar Harbor. This Bar Harbor winery will be a strong step towards developing a sustainable agriculture project here on Mount Desert Island.
