Wintergrass Vineyard and Winery is all about transformation. A field of native grasses (including Texas Wintergrass) becomes a vineyard, a shipping container becomes a winery, grapes become wine, and a postage-stamp plot of land south of Fort Worth, Texas becomes a place for friends to gather and unwind.
We aren’t like everybody else. We didn’t start our winemaking journey with corporate money, a retirement account, loans, investors or an inheritance. We started small, building most things by hand a little bit at a time. And we’ve self-funded everything from the very beginning. There’s a saying that it takes a large fortune to make a small fortune in the wine industry and since we had neither we set out to build something through hard work, dedication, passion and a lot of patience.
Our dream is to have a small, family-run winery where we can serve exceptional Texas wines in a friendly and relaxing environment. We aren’t looking for customers but for folks who love to celebrate life with a glass of wine and new friends.
