When you discover a beer that is unlike anything you've ever had before -- in a good way -- it has lasting effects on you for the rest of your life. When our Co-Founder, Scott Spence, was introduced to craft beer by some family on Victoria, he knew Fort St. John and Northeast British Columbia, needed their own! Scott and our other Co-Founder, Dino Soucy, had been thinking about how they could bring something new and exciting to Fort St. John, and after Scott had shared his experience with Dino, he was in without hesitation. Then came the long journey of starting a new brewery! The first week of January in 2017, Scott and Dino took the first steps in starting a brewery. After months of research, filling out applications and searching properties, Mighty Peace Brewing Co. was officially a company on 6 April 2017...on paper. Quotes for brewing equipment would quickly follow and a building was found. In July, they ran into an American craft brewer, Adam Keele, looking for a new adventure after having brewed award-winning beer in both Montana and Alaska--looks like he missed the best place in between...British Columbia! Adam loves variety, and has an unwavering dedication to quality, and the art and science of brewing [and the Scottish distillation craft--foreshadowing???]. Never one to rest on his laurels, he is always seeking ways to perfect each beer and improve the brewing process, all the while keeping things fresh through experimentation.
