Follow Napa Valley's Route 29 north to Calistoga, and then keep going just 2 1/2 more miles. You'll arrive at the pinnacle of the valley - the northernmost wedge where the Vaca mountain range meets the Mayacamas range. Here you will also find Bennett Lane Winery, sitting snugly at the edge of its own well-maintained Cabernet vineyard. Owners Randy and Lisa Lynch purchased the property only three years ago. But Bennett Lane is already making a splash in wine country with its lush textured Cabernet Sauvignon and a no-nonsense red varietal blend called Maximus. Maximus leads the way in Bennett Lane's quest to produce high quality Napa Valley wines at a reasonable cost. The winery's pricing philosophy applies to all of its wines, which include both red and white varietals.

Directions
Bennett Lane is a winery located at the north end of the Napa Valley, where the valley floor meets the edge of the Mayacamas Mountains. The quaint town of Calistoga is nearby, framed by the rugged Palisades and capped by Mount St. Helena.

Cabernet Sauvignon
This new release opens with aromas of bing cherries and violets and continues with elegant subtle notes of clove and cedar. On the palate the wine has a nice mouthfeel, with flavors of black cherry and plum leading to a full velvety finish. The Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of both our Estate Lynch Family vineyard and select growers from throughout the best regions of the Napa Valley. Our Viticulturist Doug Wight farms nearly all of these properties, lending an added degree of consistency and cohesiveness.

Maximus
The blend on the Maximus is 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 11% Syrah. The wine opens with aromas of dark cocoa, plum, ripe black cherry and subtle hints of vanilla. On the palate the wine displays flavors of black cherry, plum, blueberry and subtle layers of cinnamon, nutmeg and cedar. With elegant, velvety tannins that enhance the mouthfeel, the wine has a long fruit driven finish and pairs well with practically everything.

Primus Reserve Cabernet
This limited release Reserve Cabernet is bold and lush, with cherry jam, rose petals, black plum, and hints of cigar box in the nose. The palate is loaded with dark chocolate, black fruits and big elegant tannins. This is a classic Napa Valley Cabernet built for age ability, yet will be difficult to keep your hands off of while cellaring!

Primus Reserve Chardonnay
Only the second of its kind here at Bennett Lane, this follows in the tradition of our inaugural 2004 release as a true reserve style Chardonnay with fruit from the Sangiacomo vineyard in Carneros. With bright aromatic notes of Bartlett pear, pineapple, caramel and creamy vanilla, this white wine has a clean and vibrant palate with flavors of fresh pears, Meyer lemons, marzipan and Crème Brulee and a crisp and amazingly long creamy finish.
