Township 7 Vineyards South Langley

The South Langley countryside is home to this rapidly gowning winery that goes by the name of Township 7 Vineyards and Winery. After spending six years in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley learning their craft first hand, Corey and Gwen Coleman, the winery's owners, were finally ready to start. So...in 1999 they bought the five-acre piece of property which today houses the winery, tasting room and their vineyards.

Directions
From Vancouver, West/North Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, and New Westminster:
Take Highway #1 eastward to the Highway 15 (176th St) exit south. Follow the signs to Seattle. Turn left at 16th Avenue travelling east to the winery. From South Vancouver, Richmond, Surrey, and Delta: Take Highway #99 south to Exit #2 (8th Ave East). Follow 8th Ave East to 200th St. Turn left (north) to 16th Ave. Turn right on 16th Ave to the winery. From the U.S.A.: Take I-5 North to the Peace Arch border crossing, or the truck crossing. Once into Canada, take the first exit (#2) to Whiterock/Surrey travelling east on 8th Ave.
(From the truck crossing, turn right on the first set of lights after crossing the border to travel east on 8th Ave.) Follow 8th Ave east to 200th st. Turn left (north) to 16th Ave. Turn right on 16th Ave to the winery.

Cabernet Sauvignon VQA
A big, fruity black currant nose with deep flavours of red cherry, plum, currant and smoke supported by a full tannin structure from 100% aging for twenty months in French and American oak barrels. A long, vanilla, spicy, and chocolate finish. Unfiltered.

Chardonnay VQA
100% barrel fermented and aged in French and American oak barrels, this wine displays aromas of apples, peaches and tropical fruits and fig, vanilla, butterscotch and tropical fruit flavours. It is a well-balanced wine with a harmonious integration of fruit and oak.

Late Harvest Pinot Blanc VQA
This dessert wine displays honey, figs, melon and coconut on the nose and palate, and a sweet, long, flavourful finish.

Merlot VQA
100% barrel fermented in French and American oak barrels for eighteen months, this wine displays concentrated aromas of cherry, coffee and caramel with flavours of blueberry, plum, chocolate and cloves followed by a long blackberry and pepper finish. Unfiltered.

Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon VQA
A medium-bodied blend with fourteen months of barrel aging. Cassis, chocolate and currant aromas accompanied by cedar, vanilla, cherry and blackberry flavours. Unfiltered.

Reserve Chardonnay VQA
Butterscotch, pineapple and toasted oak aromas with peach-pineapple, toasted almond, vanilla and nutmeg flavours. 100% barrel fermented and aged in French and American oak barrels for eight months, this is a complex wine with layers of flavour and a classic flinty finish.

Reserve Merlot VQA
This full-bodied Merlot shows black cherry, plum and vanilla aromas and almond, chocolate, vanilla and baked cherry flavours. Velvety textured, with a spicy, long finish. 100% aged in French and American oak barrels for twenty months. Unfiltered.

Rosé VQA
With appealing strawberry, raspberry, and rhubarb aromas and flavours, this slightly off-dry wine is best enjoyed well-chilled, with food or on its own. A blend of Merlot, Chardonnay and Optima grapes.

Sauvignon Blanc VQA
This lively wine, from grapes grown at Blue Terrace Vineyards in Oliver, British Columbia, displays aromas and flavours of passionfruit, citrus and flint with a hint of mineral on the finish.
