Troon Vineyard

Troon Vineyard Troon Vineyard is a boutique winery in the heart of the Applegate Valley in Southern Oregon. The Martin family recently purchased the property, with its established vines and Winery, from founder Richard Troon. We are excited by the opportunity to carry on the legacy of Troon Vineyard, as a producer of great wines and a purveyor of fun wine experiences. Our goal is to enable you to experience Troon Vineyard and enjoy our wonderful collection of current and future wines. This site will help you find out what's happening at the Vineyard and inside the Winery. You can also learn more about our selective Cellar Dwellers Wine Club and, of course, buy wine. The face of Troon Vineyard will be changing and growing over the next few years. We have built a new Winery and Tasting Room. We are planting additional vines of various varieties, and continually improving the property. This will bring new wines and exciting events to the Vineyard. We will be updating the site frequently, so come often and we'll show you what's happening! We are open Daily 11am – 6pm Labor Day Weekend through September. The rest of the year we are open daily from 11am to 5pm and we are closed during the month of January.

Troon Vineyard 2004 River Guide Red
The re-release of theis long time favorite has met with great critical acclaim already. Three medals at three large competitions show the strength of this wine. It is a unique blend of Syrah, Merlot, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine was aged 12 months in small French (75%) and American oak barrels (25%). Bottled unfiltered and unfined to perserve integrity and body. 299 cases produced.
  Troon Vineyard 2005 Druid's Fluid
Our latest release is a blend of Merlot, Syrah, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon. There is about 1.2% residual sugar in this huge favorite. A well integrated wine that shows great flavors and will be sure to please the red wine drinker and non red drinker alike. 1450 cases produced
Troon Vineyard 2005 Jeanie in the bottle
The 2004 has sold out, but not to worry this years Jeanie in the bottle is great in its own right. Incredible fruit flavors combined with a well balanced acidity that doesn't leave any sweetness on the tongue, make this an enjoyable wine. One would think this difficult with a 1.5% residual sugar wine, but Herb nailed this one.
Troon Vineyard 2005 River Guide White
Winner of three medals in some of the largest international competitions. This small release of 238 cases is sure to go fast. A blend of Riesling, Gewurtztraminer, and Viognier. This wine is great with any dish.
  Troon Vineyard Alices' Blush
Two time Silver medal winner. We decided to make a slight name change and a significant style change to this wine for 2004. No longer will the "Alice" be made with Cabernet juice only. We have added juice from our Syrah, Merlot, Zinfandel, and Sangiovese, among others. Twelve seperate "draw downs" account for this spectacular wine. But there will only be 88 cases of this truly special off dry(.4% residual) rose'. Herb Quady made a name for himself at Fresno State by creating one of the highest awarded wines in the history of the school. That was a rose'. He believes this one might be better. Don't wait for it's release in June. Order now - it won't last long.
  Troon Vineyard Insomnia Port
The follow up to the sold out 2002 has won Gold at the Astoria festival. It was made in a traditional style mainly from the Portugese varieties Tinta Cao and Touriga Nacional. This is a wonderful fortified wine. It does pack a punch at 20% alcohol and 10% sugar, but it is spectacular.
Troon Vineyard Jeanie in the Bottle
This unique wine is a hit. Made from the juice of Merlot grapes it is a blush wine that exhibits unique guava juice like flavors that have many excited about this limited release. Only 130 cases remain from the near 300 released last summer.
  Troon Vineyard Zinfandel Reserve
This follow up to the highly awarded 2002 is a worthy addition to our great Zinfandel tradition. With only 128 cases produced, it is sure to sell quickly.
