Phelps Creek Vineyards

Phelps Creek Vineyards Grape growing takes center stage in the production of Phelps Creek wine. Each craft bottling distinctly expresses the Columbia Gorge AVA. Bright, rich fruit flavors layer upon lingering mineral tones drawn from deep and complex volcanic soils. We restrict the vines to minuscule yields, ensuring quality over quantity. Extraordinary care leads to extraordinary wines.

Products

Becky's Cuvee Pinot Noir Columbia Gorge
A blend of the best Pinots from the Columbia Gorge AVA. A richly perfumed nose enchants with notes of raspberry, currants and violets. Medium body with modest oak. A lingering finish expresses earth and ripe tannins.
  Brimstone Red Wine Columbia Valley
Produced under our Mt. Defiance Wine Company label, this is a full-flavored Cabernet/Syrah/Merlot blend. Bright red fruit tones of cherries and pomegranate evolve into darker flavors in the glass. A heavenly partner for food--from grilled burgers to boeuf bourguignonne.
  Celilo Merlot Columbia Gorge
From the Twelve Acre Block of the acclaimed Celilo Vineyard on Underwood Mountain Washington. An unusually warm season produced a vintage with exceptional berry flavors and richness complemented by subdued smokey flavors from American oak barrels.
  Hellfire White Wine Columbia Gorge
Notes of pears and apples highlighted with citrus and rose petal, perfume this complex nose. Hellfire's medium body dances with a lively pear and citrus fruit entry followed by melon and rose petals to match the nose. The finish is balanced and lusciously long. Lovely as an aperitif or with pasta, quiche and summer salads.
Judith's Reserve Pinot Noir Columbia Gorge
Our finest Pinot Noir from the oldest vines of our Hood River vineyard. Dark cherry and ripe blueberry notes fuse with rich tobacco tones and our distinctive underlying minerality. Fine, integrated tannins provide backbone to an opulent structure designed for years of development. "Best of Show, Northwest Food and Wine Festival, November 2007"
  Reserve Chardonnay Columbia Gorge
You can practically smell the depth in this stylish Chardonnay, which has almost a pale red fruit aroma, like Rainer cherries. Its ripe pear flavors possess remarkable tension and angularity, keeping the wine fresh and firm, with great length for pan-seared scallops. --Wine & Spirits
