Winter's Hill Vineyard

Winter's Hill Vineyard Winter's Hill Vineyard has been in the family since 1961, when Emily Gladhart's parents, John and Lena Winter, purchased a fruit and grain farm on a corner of Oregon's Dundee Hills. Peter & Emily and their son Russell planted the first 19 acres of grapes in 1990, 12 acres of Pinot Noir and 7 acres of Pinot Gris. The vineyard's elevation of 525 to 730 feet on south facing slopes provides optimum warmth during summer days while exposing it to cool ocean breezes every afternoon that drop evening temperatures into the 50's. These conditions bring the slow, gentle ripening so essential to the delicate character of fine Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris.

  Winter’s Hill Vineyard Dry Rosé
Vivid pink in color, the nose is filled with aromas of raspberry and strawberry. In the mouth, the strawberry yields to cherry, with a note of citrus peel on the finish. With the structure provided by the delicate tannins and firm acidity, this wine can be enjoyed by itself or with a wide range of dishes such as grilled chicken or fish, salads, goat cheese, or even pizza! To fully appreciate this wine, enjoy it outside in the fresh air with friends.

Early Muscat always has an intense bouquet, and this vintage is no exception. Narcissus, and lemon blossom perfume the nose, leading to pear in the middle palate. A distinctive white pepper note and firm acidity balance the slight sweetness of the wine. Early Muscat is a delightful aperitif but also pairs well with a variety of foods. The intensity of the nose and the small amount of residual sugar make it a good match to seafood, as well as Asian and other spicy foods.

A great sipping wine, as well as an excellent complement to Asian foods, grilled vegetables, chicken, pork or salmon.

This offering opens with delicate aromas of rose petals, strawberries and vanilla beans, followed by lush, fruit-driven layers of complexity that don’t want to quit. A classy wine that should be highly sought after.”
