We visited Delaware together for the very first time on a Sunday afternoon back in April 2012. We instantly knew it was where we needed to be. The small town feel and nostalgia of this town is one of a kind. Most of our beers are Delaware-inspired to highlight and showcase the rich, interesting history behind this great American town.
Staas Brewing's tagline is "classic styles, true to style." In a day and age where craft breweries are becoming increasingly experimental, we are going in a different direction. Our goal is to brew lights-out, classic beer styles at the highest possible level. We are an all grain brewery, meaning no extracts are used in the brewing of our beer. We are a small batch brewpub, which means we have the ability to serve beer as it truly should; IPAs and wheat beers will be served within days of it leaving the fermenter, and the bigger beers such as our Belgian quad and others will be left to age over time like fine wine. This also means that not every beer on our menu will be available everyday and some new beers may not yet be listed. We have the boards behind the bar to make you aware of the ever-changing beer list. As a craft brewpub, we want you to come in with the anticipation of "What do they have on tap tonight?"
