Yakima Cellars 2000 Cabernet Sauvignon, Portteus Vineyard ? Yakima Valley. This is a medium bodied, fruit forward approachable Cabernet. The wine exhibits late summer fruit and violets in the nose. Early season strawberries coat the mouth; elegant tannins provide a smooth mouth feel followed by a lingering finish of prunes and figs. A perfect wine for a summer barbeque of New York cut steak, garden vegetable Shishkebob, and peach pie. Drink now through 2008.
