  Cabernet Sauvignon
Inviting aromas of raspberry, toast and cedar, followed by soft, deep flavors of black cherry and blueberry with hints of dark coffee. Try with Nancy’s Chicken Tagine or supple meat dishes, such as juicy roast beef or tender filet mignon. 80% Cabernet Sauvignon/10%Merlot/10% Cabernet Franc. Limited production.
  Cabernet Sauvignon
Our 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon begins with nuanced aromas of leather, tea, anise and cassis. The cassis notes continue one the palate, coupled with flavors of black cherry, raspberry and cedar that unfold across a soft, rounded texture. Accents of mint and earth accompany supple tannins on a smooth, lingering finish. The complex, elegant personality of our 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent match for flavorful medium-weight cuisine, particularly grilled lamb or venison chops with a dried blueberry, cassis and red wine reduction sauce. It also pairs well with desserts such as chocolate flan and browned butter biscotti with dried figs. Enjoy!
  Dos Ranchos Zinfandel
Select lots from Saucelito Canyon Vineyard have been reunited with grapes from our neighboring vineyard, Rancho Arroyo Grande, to create this robust Zinfandel. These two vineyards were first united in the late 1880's when Rosa Ditmas, homesteader of Rancho Saucelito, and A.B. Hasbrouck, owner of Rancho Arroyo Grande, were married. Together, they produced wine from these "Dos Ranchos" until 1915. Today, Saucelito Canyon blends the history and grapes from these two historic ranches to craft our dry farmed, head pruned "Dos Ranchos" Zinfandel.
  Late Harvest Zinfandel
Sweet and luscious, with densely layered flavors of blackberry, boysenberry and brown sugar. An excellent complement to dark chocolate desserts, rich bread pudding or as a dessert unto itself. Unfined and unfiltered, only 91 cases produced.
  Late Harvest Zinfandel
Late Harvest Zinfandel is a specialty at Saucelito Canyon Vineyard. Using highly ripened, whole grape clusters and fermenting them in a closed, anaerobic environment, a technique known as carbonic maceration, we are able to produce a dessert wine with unusual freshness.
  Riesling
The Santa Lucia Highlands is an ideal growing region for Riesling. Its marine moderated climate and sandy gravel soils deliver a crisp acidity and firm minerality to the wine. Crafted in the classic off-dry style, with a bouquet of bright apricot and passion fruit, our Riesling is an excellent match for fresh California Golden Trout or South Pacific Ahi. Enjoy this rare treat from your winemaker and avid fisherman.
  Sauvignon Blanc
  Tempranillo
  Zinfandel
Our 2043 Zinfandel Estate is a robust, assertive wine that begins with vivid aromas of ripe berries and dusty Saucelito earth. Concentrated flavors of plum and blackberry unfold with nuances of vanilla, cola and white pepper. The texture is broad and chewy, finishing with lingering impressions of boysenberry and clove spice. This lively Zinfandel pairs particularly well with hearty dishes, including Santa Mariastyle barbecue, spicy Mexican fare, peppered veal chops and rich lasagna.
  Zinfandel
Our 2002 Zinfandel Estate is a blockbuster vintage brimming with intense varietal fruit and authentic old vine character. It begins with vivid aromas of raspberry, cherry and fragrant chaparral, followed by concentrated flavors of blueberry and blackberry with hints of vanilla. A smooth, chewy texture unfolds with lingering accents of white pepper, clove spice and leather. This robust Zinfandel is an excellent match for hearty fare, including peppercorn steak, pasta bolognese and spicy gourmet sausages.
  Zinfandel Reserve
Our 2002 Zinfandel Reserve was crafted from the finest lots of the vintage—those that showed uncommon depth and intensity. True to form, this wine boasts rich, concentrated flavors of boysenberry and black cherry with intriguing nuances of black raisin, roast coffee and cola. The fruit is seamless from entry to finish, unfolding along a juicy, viscous texture. Loaded with flavor and firm in structure, this wine will reward careful cellaring for the next several years.
