Bow Vineyard
|
|
Bob Stevens is Bow Vineyards owner, grape grower and winemaker.
He started Bow Vineyard with its first planting in the spring of 2006 after several years of research, travel, wine tasting, winemaking, land preparation, irrigation system building, trellis design and building, visits to the Minnesota grape growers and winemakers that use these new grapes, several seminars at Cornell University, visits to many vineyards that pioneered these Cold Hardy Hybrids and with the fine assistance of friends and family in the nitty gritty of getting the plants in the ground.
Stevens had made many types of wines in the past from grapes and juices from several parts of the world.
His primary goal with Bow Vineyard is to see just how good his grapes and wines can be right here in the Connecticut River Valley. Bow will only make wines from Bow grapes. He wants to see Vermont wines from Vermont grapes in the highest echelon of quality and popularity with the wine tasting world.
