Products

  El Dorado Chardonnay
An ideal summertime wine, this fruity rosé is refreshingly crisp and bright. Fermented to dry (no residual sugar), this wine was blended with a small amount of Syrah.
  El Dorado Petite Sirah
  El Dorado Premium Bordeaux
This Bordeaux blend is comprised of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, and 12% Cabernet Franc. Aromas of blackberry, currants, cedar, and coffee lead to flavors of blackberries, cherries and chocolate. Creamy oak and sweet, mellow tannins round out the long finish.
  El Dorado Syrah
Velvety, ripe, and smooth with pleasant tannins. Hints of fig meet dense blueberry, plum, and black currant to complete this seductive Syrah. Aged for 22 months in French Oak, toasty notes and sweet vanilla round out the long finish.
  Fair Play Estate Port
This port is made from a grape called Bastardo (an actual grape variety!), which is one of the world’s most widely planted port varietals. Though little-known in the United States, Bastardo makes up about 60% of the blends in traditional red ports. This lot of Bastardo was grown in a neighboring vineyard, which we lease and manage. On the nose, the wine suggests aromas of ripe boysenberries and clove. The palate offers flavors of plum and boysenberry with a smooth, gentle finish.
  Fair Play Estate Zinfandel
This wine marks the release of our first Estate Zinfandel, and we feel the 2003 vintage doesn’t disappoint. This Zin unfolds with the luscious ripe, dark fruit of cherry and raspberry. Complimented with the spice of cloves and pepper, this wine has a long, jammy finish. Aged for 24 months in American Oak, toasted notes of vanilla and oak accentuate the ripe fruit.
  Fair Play Grenache
It is rare for a Grenache to be described as “big”, but this 2004 vintage certainly breaks the mold. With strawberry jam on the nose, this wine’s rich texture and creamy, vanilla oak compliment the flavors of black currant and blackberry. The grapes for this wine were harvested the same day as the grapes for our rosé, and the pressed rosé skins were added to the primary fermentation, yielding a finished wine of deep color and ripe flavor.
  Fair Play Sangiovese Rosato
An ideal summertime wine, this fruity rosé is refreshingly crisp and bright. Fermented to dry (no residual sugar), this wine was blended with a small amount of Syrah.
  Meyers Ranch Red
This red table wine is comprised of Zinfandel, Syrah and Petite Sirah. The blend results in a wine that is reflective of the abundant natural beauty and rustic atmosphere of the historic Meyers Ranch, the location of our Vineyard & Winery.
  Sierra Foothills Barbera
Vibrant fruit character of cherry, raspberry, and blueberry with soft, velvety tannins. Excellent acidity enhances the layers of ripe fruit and smoky notes from two years of barrel aging in French oak.
