Williamson Wines

Williamson Wines Williamson Wines maintains a tradition of producing premium grapes and handcrafting world class wines. Wines are first made in the vineyard and then achieve their maximum potential through caring winemaking practices in which attention is paid to details that are often overlooked or simply too expensive for large production winemaking. Three generations of the Williamson family now live in Dry Creek Valley. The wine business is small and family operated. The wines produced are strikingly individual, representing both quality and value. Williamson Wines are not widely available through retail outlets; generally they can only be obtained at the winery or via phone, fax or email.

  CABERNET SAUVIGNON Amitie
When you think of the finest red wines in the world, you often think of wines made with Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Sauvignon is the dominant grape in the Bordeaux region of France and has spread to every other major growing region. The Cabernet Sauvignon grape produces distinctive wines of complexity and long aging potential with taste characteristics of dark cherry, tobacco, cedar and black currant.
  CHARDONNAY Amourette
The 2003 Chardonnay Amourette is perfect for sipping on a warm summer afternoon. The aroma has tropical overtones of pears, quince, honeysuckle and guava. The initial crisp, zesty flavor is complemented by the subtle butterscotch finish. More than just a “passing fancy” it is perfect with fish, crab or shrimp dishes and will enhance the flavors of white meats like chicken or pork but quite frankly, this wine is worthy of simply enjoying all by itself.
  CUVEE Ménage
This is a “red table wine” designed to provide red lovers with a wine drinkable with any food course or to simply be enjoyed alone. You can reserve your own allocation of our Menage Cuvée by ordering now.
  MERITAGE Rouge Amoureux
Meritage is a term identifying hand-crafted wines blended from the traditional noble Bordeaux varietals of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Our Rouge Amoureux, made for “Red Lovers” is such a wine, set for release in late 2007. This particular blend represents the highest form of the winemaker's art and combines the best of quality and taste from these intensely flavored varietals. Our Meritage is designed to provide red lovers with a wine drinkable with any food course or simply enjoyed alone. You can reserve your own allocation of our Red Lovers Meritage by ordering now.
  MERLOT Amour
The 2002 Merlot Amour has a deep ruby color with an exciting array of flavors and aromas. The wine shows raspberries and strawberry jam on the nose with hints of violets and cassis. Liquorices, coco and chocolate combine on the palate with velvety tannins as proof of the superior structure. We love this wine so we called it Amour. We hope that you will find our Amour Merlot to be the perfect wine for those special occasions with your most loved friends and family.
  Pinot Noir, Van Noy Vineyard
The Van Noy family has developed a visually impressive set of Pinot vineyards. Situated in the Russian River appellation close to the border of the Dry Creek appellation their private valley vineyards surround their own lake stocked with fish and ducks. The unique microclimate in this saucer shaped valley develops fruit of intense black color and cherry flavor both of which hint at a great Pinot. Previously grapes from these vineyards were used to make a 60 case lot of the 2002 MacPhail Pinot Noir which received a 90 rating by Wine & Spirits Magazine.
  SHIRAZ Affaire de Coeur
Shiraz is a rich, intense wine with deep violet, almost black color, and spicy aromas. With 50% of our young vines coming from French Hermitage Syrah and 50% from Australian Shiraz this wine is truly an “Affair of the heart”. So look forward to a great new Shiraz in limited quantity, if I don’t drink it all first. You can reserve your own allocation of our Affaire (Affair) Shiraz through our futures ordering program.
