This wine is rich red in color with lovely aromas of blackberry with some smoke and char. Blackberry on the palate with very soft tannins. Nicely balanced. The House Cabernet Sauvignon produced by Sequoia Grove is available only at the Winery and on the Internet. It is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from vineyards within the Rutherford area. While it is not as big as our regular bottling, it is proven to be immensely popular with visitors for its immediate enjoyability.

This limited production, 100% Chardonnay is crafted by using grapes from our Estate vineyard here in Rutherford and from vineyards in the Carneros region. It is barrel fermented and aged for eight months in French oak, but blended to a lighter and softer style wine than that of our Sequoia Grove Chardonnay.

Sequoia Grove Vineyards is one of the few Napa Valley producers of Gewurztraminer and has won several awards for this wine. It is sold exclusively at our tasting room and through our website. This wine is golden yellow with aromas of lemon oil, grapefruit and a hint of honey suckle. The slight sweetness gives body on the palate and balances the lemon acidity. Food suggestions: Perfect for a summer picnic with an appetizer of grilled shrimp on a lemongrass stalk or a goat cheese, walnut, and roasted asparagus salad.

This is the first Syrah by Sequoia Grove under the Allen Family label. It is the beginning of a new product line. Eventually we will have our own Syrah acreage in production and will also be producing a premium Napa Valley Syrah. Syrah has always had a place in the wine drinking world, being a full bodied red wine that is fruit forward and easy on the tannins. It is fast becoming one of the most popular wines in America, especially in the premium wine-producing areas.

View Enlarged Image Intense red-black in color with ripe summer blackberry aromas with intriguing notes of licorice and black pepper. Rich and full on the palate with a nice plush core and lengthy finish. Will age elegantly for 6-8 years. Grapes come from one of our long time growers, Phil Lamoreaux, who has a beautiful old estate in the new Oak Knoll appellation. The vineyard is old and gives us a small crop every year but produces some very character rich wine. These grapes were harvested late in the season, October 17th, allowing lots of long, slow ripening time. The average brix was 25.2. There was an approximate addition of 2% Merlot from the Stagecoach Vineyard.

Deep garnet in color with aromas of sweet currants, dark chocolate, intense blackberry, clove, black pepper and a sprinkling of Rutherford dust. Full-bodied with firm, yet supple tannins and well-integrated acid. Grapes come from two sources, from vineyards managed by our well regarded growers in the Napa Valley and some from our own estate vineyards in Rutherford. Harvesting began September 26 and ended October 23. Degrees Brix averaged 25.

We hope you enjoy the art on our new label and the art inside the bottle! Pale yellow in color with aromas of fresh lemons, tangerines, and pleasing vanilla oak characters, this lovely Chardonnay has a creamy weight with a hint of citrus peel on the palate as well, giving it a fresh acid finish.

Inky red-black in color, this syrah has aromas of currant and black cherry, with hints of anise and black tea. On the palate the wine is elegant and lengthy with a well-integrated acid. Winemaker Mike Trujillo says he has a hunch this wine will be even more beautiful as it ages.
