Brochelle Vineyards - Eastside
|
|
We are a tiny winery creating rich, voluptuous wines. We take great pride in the fact that our wines are truly hand made by us personally with excessive emphasis on quality of the finished product. We have a simple philosophy; great wines are created in the vineyard. To this end, we have spent countless hours in our estate zinfandel vineyard priming it to bear only the lowest yields of highly concentrated fruit. The same approach is made in the amazing vineyards we painstakingly select to craft our Cabernets and Syrah with. With the focus on the vines, there is little else for the wine to do except take a blissful sleep in French oak. This simple formula has allowed us to encapsulate the pure essence of the vineyard and bring forth wines that leave an unforgettable impression. Our passion and obsessive attention to detail can be discovered in every bottle we create. In order to achieve our aspiration to produce nothing but extraordinary wines, our production is very low. If you would like to be among the select few that receive our new releases-join our Wine Club; Chateau Brochelle so that you may receive our highly allocated wines before they are just a memory.

Brochelle Cabernet Sauvignon - Foothill Series
This wine has no identity crisis due to the fact that it’s solid character is built straight from the nuances provided by the rich, red volcanic soils of the Sierra Foothills in Calaveras County, CA. The 2004 is a lovely and elegant wine that displays an ethereal rose petal essence on the nose, and bright, clean, structured fruit throughout. You will find an abundance of black cherries, currants, cassis and a hint of spiced herb tea on the finish. The Foothills Cabernet is such an easy, enjoyable wine to drink and it pairs expertly with every cuisine. Drink now and until 2020.

Brochelle Cabernet Sauvignon - Napa Valley
The 2004 Cabernet crop was scarce in terms of quantity, but it certainly made up for it in terms of quality. This wine can be characterized as an impeccable example of balance and concentration that will please the most discriminating of Cabernet aficionados. This vintage is ultra rich and concentrated comprising a multitude of layers of blackberries, raspberries and vanilla. You will also discover nuances of fresh sage, cinnamon toast , subtle hints of brown sugar and a rich cherry finish. This is a big, gorgeous wine with perfectly integrated tannins that you will be able to enjoy now or cellared for future enjoyment. Drink now and until 2020.

Brochelle Estate Zinfandel
The vintage of all vintages—the 2005 has it all. This wine will be remembered long after it is gone just due to it’s complete manifestation of a truly classic Zinfandel. The entire framework is here; a saturation of dark berries encased within a smooth, velvety mouthfeel then married harmoniously with an amazing tannin balance. Just after you begin experiencing the gobs of fruit, your palate will also be elated to uncover a great refinement, structure and balance to this wine that we’ve not seen before. This vintage is such a true expression of the terroir and distinct climate conditions that so characterized the 2005 growing season. Drink now and until 2012.

Brochelle Paso Robles Petite Sirah
Special Bottling ~ With only a limited supply of this fruit available to us in 2003, we bottled this vintage to satisfy an urge for the purple magic that only a good Petite can deliver. This wine has a deep, deep garnet color and is overflowing with a rich flavor profile of blackberries, plums and violets. The long finish is complimented with a slight essence of cocoa and cream.
|
Brochelle Paso Robles Syrah
We have definitely found our groove with Syrah—it is such a persnickety varietal to grow—but the payoffs can be huge when you hit it right. The 2005 vintage blessed all the vines that year and the Syrah is no exception—this vintage is definitely a keeper. You will find a heavenly combination of toasted gingerbread and super jammy black fruits on the nose, a meatiness reminiscent of warm bacon on the mid-palate and an almost raspberry crème smooth finish. Upon release, this wine will have just been bottled, so ensure your glass has time to assimilate enough air to make this the most delightful Syrah you can ever remember drinking. Drink now and until 2015.

Brochelle Paso Robles Syrah - RESERVE
Our Reserve Syrah comprises the crème de la crème from a few select barrels and the results are a profoundly concentrated 15-case bottling. This wine is the cousin to our Ridge Top Reserve in the fact that it is intentionally crafted to be decadently rich and over the top. This wine showcases a massive nose of black cherries, plums and dark berry flavors. All of the glorious fruit is blended masterfully with a sultry, lingering caramel finish. Drink now

Brochelle Ridge Top Reserve Zinfandel
The grapes within this wine represent the fruit that is hand selected from our vineyard ridge tops. These are very tiny berries plucked from the struggling vines on our hilltops—and it makes for one BIG intense wine. The Reserve spends its final months in luxury in new French oak; in what we feel are the finest hand-crafted barrels in the world. You will find intense blueberry fruit intertwined with honey, brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon. We craft our Reserve in a very rich , indulgent style with the intention of a slight sweetness on the palate. For those that truly desire an over the top experience, this is the wine to provide it. Drink now and until 2014.

Brochelle Rose
We have crafted another Brochelle version of Rosé unlike any other. We make this wine using whole berry clusters and the saignée (free run juice) siphoned from our estate Zinfandel. It is bone dry yet boasts a great magnitude of fruit on the nose. Don’t let the lighter hue fool you (although this may be the darkest Rosé you have ever seen before), you will quickly recognize all of the nuances of our estate Zinfandel in addition to a beautiful, light, crisp finish. You will find vibrant strawberries and raspberries, hints of vanilla soda and clean mineral notes packaged up neatly in a curvaceous French bottle. This wine is so versatile; you will find yourself being drawn to it time and again.

Brochelle VELVET Zinfandel
Velvet is a finely crafted compilation of the crème de la crème of three Zinfandel vintages, wine that is the epitome of Reserve pedigree. Upon sampling the contents we had laid to rest within two ultra-premium French oak barrels in the winery, we were bestowed a rare treat indeed. The first word that came to mind upon experiencing all the smooth flavors and textures in this wine was pure. . . . . . .velvet. This wine was so compelling and unlike anything we have produced before, that we felt strongly it demanded a bottling of its own with the aspiration of crafting something extraordinary in flavour and intense varietal characteristics.
