Lazy Magnolia Brewery
|
|
Founded in September of 2003, Lazy Magnolia is Mississippi's first Brewery offering locally brewed beer to Mississippians and visitors to our state at all of their favorite restaurants. Located in the Bootleg capital of Mississippi, we break with tradition by offering legal brew to our customers. Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company is an operating brewery, but not a brewpub. We make beer, which is what we know best, and we let the professionals make the food. The result is that you get to enjoy our fabulous beer and the fabulous food of Mississippi all at the same time.

Amberjaque Rye Ale
Amberjaque, pronounced “Amber
Jack," is one of the few commercially
available Rye Ales. One of the
principal components in the grain bill of
the beer is malted rye which provides a
unique and very pleasant nuttiness to
the finished product setting it apart
from other amber beers. The
moderate hopping and carbonation
accentuate the malt character without
stealing the show.

Blue Heron
Blue Heron is a Kristal Weizen beer—
this is a filtered European style wheat
ale characterized by very pronounced
fruity and spicy flavors and aromas.
Our recipe uses a traditional mix of
wheat and barley processed in the
German fashion. However, the
distinctive flavors and aromas are a
result of the yeast.

Jefferson Stout
Jefferson Stout, Lazy Magnolia's original Sweet Potato Cream
Stout, is Lazy Magnolia's late Winter/early Spring seasonal
offering. Jefferson Stout is brewed with sweet potatoes and
lactose (milk sugar). The sweet potatoes provide the
background to an impressive taste with added notes of roasted
chocolate, coffee, and caramel flavors.

Lighthouse Pale Ale
Lighthouse Pale Ale is an American Style Pale Ale, brewed to
accommodate the growing popularity of the Pale Ale style in
the South. In keeping with Lazy Magnolia's philosophy, this
beer was crafted with the Southern Palate in mind. The
Lighthouse Pale Ale recipe was designed to accentuate hop
flavor and aroma, and is the perfect companion to hot, muggy
weather, spicy foods and crawfish boils.

Par-3 American Wheat Ale
Par-3 is a light beer brewed in the
American Wheat tradition and has a
flavor profile very similar to Kolsch,
a Northern German beer style
rapidly growing in popularity in the
U.S. The Par-3 recipe was
designed as a more flavorful
alternative to the mass-produced
light pilsners brewed by the major
brewing companies.

Southern Gold
Southern Gold is Lazy Magnolia's Golden Honey Ale.
Brewed with locally produced honey, this light-bodied
brew was designed specifically for the City of
Hattiesburg, MS, the home of Southern Miss. This
refreshing beer is noted by its smooth character and
gentle, sweet honey finish.

Southern Pecan Nut Brown Ale
Southern Pecan Nut Brown Ale is the first beer in the world, to our knowledge,
made with real roasted pecans. The pecans are used just like grain and provide a
nutty characteristic and a delightful depth to the flavor profile. The brewing process
takes full advantage of our very soft, slightly alkaline water, which is known to
bring out the deep flavors of darker malts.
