Founded in 2005, we have been enjoying the San Marcos great downtown square for over a decade! Housed in a 1885 historical building, there is a rich history here that can not be duplicated. During the 70’s the “Too Bitter” was located here, bands that played here included Police (included Sting, yes, that Sting) , George Strait, Willie Nelson, Eric Johnson, and many others. Most heard customer comment is “Wow, we did not expect the food to be this good, we were expecting pub food”! Voted Best Irish Bar, Brew Pub and Sports Bar in Central Texas! The owners are from Central Texas, including San Marcos, with San Marcos roots going back to when Texas State was called Southwest Texas State. An older family member actually lived, when going to school here, in LBJ’s old apartment. Texas State is the only University in Texas that has graduated a Vice-President and President of the US. Sean Patrick’s, referred affectionately as Sean P’s, with 70 beer taps, including some of our own in-house brews, great food, and great atmosphere is proven.
