Quilceda Creek Vintners

Alex and Jeannette Golitzin, their son Paul, and sons-in-law Marv Crum and John Ware produce 2,500 cases of vintage Cabernet Sauvignon. The Cabernet Sauvignon has achieved a connoisseur following and is distributed in over three dozen states and 10 foreign countries. In addition to Cabernet Sauvignon, Quilceda Creek produces 250 cases of world-class Merlot. Also, approximately 1000 cases are de-classified annually into the Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Red Wine. Quilceda Creek Cabernet is grown in the great Columbia Valley vineyards of Champoux, Ciel du Cheval, Klipsun and Taptiel. Since 1979, Quilceda Creek has had an unbroken string of highly rated vintages that has led Robert M. Parker, Jr.’s The Wine Advocate to name Quilceda Creek as Washington State’s premier Cabernet Sauvignon producer.

Columbia Valley Red Wine
The 2003 Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Red Wine is our best offering of this wine to date. Spicy black cherry fruit, smoke, vanilla and cocoa dominate this medium-bodied wine. This wine offers a great value and pleasure for the more occasional drink over the next 7-10 years.

Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine is a blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc which was aged in new French oak for 22 months prior to bottling in July 2006. The 2004 vintage resulted in wines that have stunning aromas, flavors and texture. Juicy blueberries, blackberries, violets, cocoa, and minerals coat the palate with complex layers adding notes of wood smoke and Asian spice. This wine will mature nicely over the next 7-8 years and continue to age gracefully for at least another 10-20 years thereafter.

Quilceda Creek Columbia Valley Merlot
This wine displays many layers of flavors and a complexity rarely seen in New World Merlot. Lush red and black fruits, licorice, spice and smoke describe this unctuous wine. Drink it over the next 15-20 years.
