In addition to our 20 acre Estate Vineyard in Sonoma Valley, we source grapes from a number of prestige growers both for our Artist Collection wines, which focus on unusual varietals not found in mainstream offerings, and for our Vineyard Collection wines (first release, winter 2000) which celebrate those select vineyards that posess a unique "sense of place" flavor in the grapes.

Artist Collection Barbera
This version is an outstanding wine, combining luscious texture and intense fruitiness, with crisp acidity and evident toasted oak character. In flavor, it nearly tastes like a chocolate covered raspberry (with cherry and blueberry overtones). Enjoy with grilled fish with tomato salsa, meat lasagna, grilled portabella mushroom sandwich, and steak with mushroom sauce.
|
Artist Collection Cabernet Franc
This wine exhibits impressive perfumed aromas of black cherry and cedary toast shadowed by a subtle oakiness. Black cherry is echoed on the palate along with chocolate and savory flavors that give way to a smooth, rich finish noted by soft, chewy tannins.
|
Artist Collection Malbec North Coast
This is a rich, fleshy Malbec, with flavors reminiscent of blackberry jam, pepper, oak, rhubarb, and leather. Very long finish. Serve it with spaghetti alla Bolognese (spaghetti in tomato sauce with chicken livers), risotto with two cheeses, braised kidneys with mushrooms, roast duck, veal parmigiana (breaded cutlets, with Parmesan cheese and tomato sauce), and beef empanadas (pastry with beef and vegetable filling).
|
Artist Collection Muscato di Canelli Lake County
Smelling this wine is like putting your nose into a bouquet of fresh flowers (honeysuckle, rose, apple blossom). It is medium bodied, medium sweet (but does not taste it), and extremely fruity and floral in flavor, with a long aftertaste. Serve with dishes that have mild sweetness or moderate levels of spiciness or heat, including orange chicken (chicken a la orange), barbecued chicken or pork, mild curry dishes, and honey baked ham.
|
Artist Collection Petit Verdot
Nearly always a blending grape (primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon), Petit Verdot is a powerful varietal, with intense flavors and evident structure (tannin). This is a full bodied version, with rich flavors (reminiscent of fig, blueberry, black licorice, and leather), and a long, somewhat tannic finish. Serve it with pizza with smoked duck, steak sandwich, lamb with black olives & green peppers, and wild boar ragout.
|
Artist Collection Petite Sirah
Many wine drinkers don’t realize that the Paso Robles region is responsible for many of the better versions produced in the state. This is full bodied, fleshy, richly flavored, and very long on the palate, tasting of black peppercorn, plum, blackberry, and oak. Serve this wine with robust dishes, such as barbecued beef, lamb kebabs, lamb stew, and venison with cherry sauce.
|
Artist Collection Petite Sirah Port Paso Robles
This is a huge and complex wine showing chocolate, blackberry, plum, bramble and spice notes married with mellow American oak vanilla. Reminiscent of vintage ports, ours gets its strong tannic backbone courtesy of the Petite Sirah. Ideal with Asiago and Brie cheeses or with fine dark chocolate.
